Why can't west stop our China from becoming stronger and stronger every year?

China and really ANY country becoming more developed actually increases our security in the US and in the world as a whole.
Why?
Well weapon of mass destruction are more secured
UNLIKE
(Ie Russia), when they broke down.
Leaders can be more diplomatic as they have nothing to prove
as with G W Bush/Cheney.
And in NORTH Korea.
There are so many reasons why anyone in their right minds would support China and not feel threatened.
I support you CHina and hope you grow strong.
Just PLease remember HUMAN RIGHTS.
but the USA is still progressing in that area as well.

The "question", of course, is nothing of the sort. It contains within it the implied assertion that the West is, in fact, trying to "stop" China.

This, of course, is utter drivel and merely part of the illegitimate Communist regime's attempt to stir up nationalism to excuse its own illegal grip on power and to divert attention from the self enrichment of its corrupt leaders.

Without the West, what small progress China has made in recent years would not have come about.

It was only by adopting western methods and western technology spurred by western investment and then selling to western markets that China has been able to grow its economy to the point that, with more land and 4 times the population, its GDP has now grown to a mere 1/4 that of the USA.

Moreover, even that pathetic performance has been achieved only by exploiting the workers as bad as any coolie in the days before the revolution and destroying the land, air and water with uncontrolled pollution.

The West has been foolish enough, and indulgent enough, to live beyond its own means for two decades but now faces the reality that it cannot continue to buy products made by cheap Chinese labor. As American markets for Chinese goods disappear the Chinese economy will very likely collapse entirely.

America's vast wealth will allow it to make the adjustments needed to recover from this present situation but China will be lucky to survive with only another civil war.

You will stop yourselves. The growing pressures created by your haphazard dash toward capitalism will eventually catch up with you. With a population of around 1.3 billion I will love to see how you work out your oncoming social issues. Your CCP won't be able to beat everyone back into submission like in 1989. All the coal fired power plants being built will befoul your air soon enough. Don't believe me? Take a look at Linfen. China's rush for profit at all costs will cost you. Even as you rise the seeds of your own downfall are being planted. Nothing lasts forever.

Why would you want to? Look at the history of China and you will discover it is no threat. All it is is a 2 billion member market for us. We want them as strong as possible because for China, once it reaches the level of America, the most important thing to it would be stability. Stability and Prosperity are how the Chinese government legitimizes itself to it's people.

China is not a threat. Japan is far more dangerous.

Because china is progressing at a far faster rate than the west. China has taken the place of the USSR has one of the two super-powers of the world, alongside with America.

China has a far greater population over it's rival, has many allies and is quite simply better situated.

It is home to the biggest harbor in the world, that and many other things have made it's economy to swell dramatically, it is simply beating the west in every race.
