Two ears to be able to listen more. And one mouth so that we talk less.
We should listen more than we should talk. |

"that we may listen twice more than we talk.." |

The 2 ears are for stereo sound, you know that left and right channel. Would you settle for a mono sound? The 1 mouth is for 1 microphone. How disgusting to use 2 mics for the 2 mouths. People nowadays can't stand other people monopolizing mics during karaoke session. |

You would get wasted way to fast if you had two mouths drinking from listening to your wife's bickering lol. |

People talk easily but have a hard time listening. Listening is so difficult for us, we need two ears. |

2 ears is the product of billions of years of evolution with those most suited to their environment living on while those least suited, die out.
With one ear, you can hear sound, With two ears, you can tell where the sound is coming from as the sound waves arrive at each ear at a different time.
Having two ears to tell where sound is coming from is a definite advantage over a one eared person when animals are hunting you for dinner.
The same principle applies to the eyes. With one eye, you can see objects, danger or prey in the distance but you have no depth. With two eyes, you can judge how far away the danger, object or prey is.

So you can Hear & Listen, The Leftist & The Rightist...
For the Mouth, we use it to Say, to Shout & to Spread out our Anger to the Government... |

So we can listen to the idiot politicians who steal everything from us and say nothing about it! |

Some say to listen twice as much, but I say it means you need to talk up twice as much to compete with your ears. :) |

Listening take a higher priority over speaking. It is written in the bible, "Be quck to hear and slow to speak" (Proverbs).
Good living example: Don't speak if you don't understand what you are talking about. |

God did so because it's HIS way of showing us that we should listen more than we should talk. For every word we utter, we are obliged to listen and hear twice the words we said.

two ears so that we can listen more and one mouth so that we can talk less.. |

we need 2 ears. one listens to good stuff; the other to bad. then they fight in our head. god wants us to listen to good ear but coz of free will he gave us bad ear too.
to talk only one mouth is needed. god wants us to say good stuff only. when we say bad stuff, he says thats the devil talking.
thats only for people. parrots dont say bad stuff. we just talk loud. |

One mouth: to speak only one truth |

lmao. I like Marky Marks answer.
ears are for hearing, you should be able to hear everything around you.
the mouth is for making noise, one is enough. |

Esthetics & functionality if not practicality.
For we can listen to sounds better with both ears than with one, especially when we need to hear sounds from any or all angles.
And if we were given two mouths instead of one, we would probably eat with one & talk with the other, that would be rude. Or we can talk with both mouths simultaneously & that would be annoying if not plain torture. |

So we can communicate with each other. And maybe God saw that it is not enough, so He also gave us the brain and the heart. But still, we have misunderstandings due to miscommunication. I wonder what do we still need? |
