Why do Asians want their hair to be blonde and Americans/Europeans want their color to be tan?

satisfaction...but we ve got diff reason some of the asian want to color their hair for fashionistas style and some are just trying hard...We want to cover insecurities sometime because in philippines mostly think that white is beautiful which is kinda annoying sometime...

I guess it's not because we are not satisfied but we tend to base our opinion of what is beautiful on the things that we don't generally have as a society....

i guess its very normal for anyone wanting to be different and look like somebody..asians are born with black hair (unless we are mix races, e.g. mix with the european, etc) & some asians dun like the weather which makes them dark, thus some asian may be feeling that the americans or the europeans are born the opposite of us, e.g. hair colour, skin & the eye ball, also, if the americans/european are tan, others may hv thought that they hv been to an asian country for holiday...

Each of their own.. Some likes to do it because they think they look more better and they're comfortable with it but I still think that the natural beauty is the best. Our Asian looks are considered exotic beauty in the western countries and also, I think it's nice to see white people to have a little tan because they look too pale if they don't. <*-*>

Well sometimes people tend to try to look different from their natural self or immitate others and feel the looks of others. It can be attributed to boredom sometimes.

green, blue or hazel eyes on dark brown eyes..

p.s. im guilty of the hair thing.. but on the skin thing.. i got tired of being someone im not so to heck with it! BROWN AND DANG PROUD! I STAND OUT AMONG THE SEA OF WHITES (CHINITAS AND MESTIZAS) AND WHITE WANNABEES.. :D

I used to have blonde hair. I also had blonde highlights so I can look "COOL". I wanted to be in the "COOLNESS" crowd when I was in high school. All the "COOL" Asian people had their hair dyed and highlighted so I copied them and did the same so I can be with the cool Asian crowd. When I had highlights, all the chicks liked it. Now due to my military status, it is prohibited to have highlights or dye my hair blonde. What is acceptable is dying my hair where it looks natural, like brunette.
