not only spam but a lot of food that really dont need cooking for some like century tuna, corned beef, etc
its because of every mother's belief that to cook is to kill any bacteria in the food that may be present and to kill the bacteria is by cooking it
that's why a lot of households in the provinces also boil water, etc before cooling for drinking |

I don't think it just them, in the U.K. Spam is eaten both hot and cold, as a child we ate it a lot I suppose because it was a cheap meal. |

I love fried SPAM! Because frying it helps enhance its flavor plus it goes yummy with hot steaming rice or sinangag (fried rice)--Filipino style. And I think it's more filling if it goes with rice instead of buns. Spam, sunnyside up, sinangag, plus a condiment made of suka (vinegar) and toyo (soy sauce). Yumyum. |

Because it tastes good and is the absolute easiest way to cook anything ! Why spend 20 min setting up a bbq for a healthy meal when frying is so much easier. Wonder why most Pinoys have "high blood" . ROFL |

We do fry our Spam. It goes well with sinangag (garlic friend rice) and scrambled eggs. That's perfect breakfast for me. I guess you could say we have gotten used to it. The only way I could eat Spam right out of the can is when I use it as sandwich filling...goes so well with mayo, lettuce & tomatoes. Or when we serve it as cold cuts. |

not only do we fry it here at our home, we make sure its crispy around the edges too!!! yummmmmmy! that's the best part.
i tried it at other houses where they sprinkle a little sugar on it while its frying and that tastes good too!
we like our spam with rice (preferably sinangag- fried rice with garlic) and pork & beans!!! mmmmm :-) |

Because most of us Filipinos loves -silogs for breakfast like spamsilog (Spam,fried garlic rice and egg), tapsilog (beef jerky, fried garlic rice and egg).. and so much more. Simple and tasty. Your Q is making me hungry. lol <*-*> |

filipinos fry almost anything that's fryable. instead of steaming or boiling hotdogs, we fry 'em. instead of grilling pork, we fry 'em. instead of broiling chicken..... guess what? WE FRY 'EM! No wonder when you look around, there are so much obesed people. and what's with making children grow sooo fat? they say it's cute... i say it's gross!
