I've got no idea? Would you tell me more? |

I am aware that a few Malays & a few Pinoys do have that dislike about each other.
But I have no idea that there are people from both countries who are actually actively comparing the two & calling one another names.
Why would I even care who has more & who is better over the other. Malaysia is Malaysia & the Philippines is the Philippines, there should be no comparison. |

I've never heard of such thing... you know what, you're the one who's triggering the argument...
although they share (some) common history and (some) similar culture, both of these countries have their own uniqueness... |

Its ignorance on both sides. Wanting to be a superior race over another is from the devil.
Look what the white european race done to all dark skin people for so many years.
Since they don't have spiritual insight, they don't know that SATAN is working very hard through people each day. |

This is the first time I have heard about this so called "conflict" between the two countries. Sure there are some issues that Malaysia and the Philippines are yet to resolve but I dont think they hate each other like Israel and Palestine.
I have a Malaysian colleague and we are okay. We are pretty close even. We are open to give out our views about our ethnicity and this concern was never brought up. Not because we dont want to have a thick wall between us, but I dont think that is a very big issue especially to civilians.
Y! Answers could somehow attest to that. With the population of Yammers going to YAP and Yappers going to YAM...I dont think there is any bad blood between the 2 cousins.

well cousins do tend to hate each other. they all swing from the same banana tree right?
edit: filipinos are definitely better singers than the malaysians when it comes to singing in english. and that's a fact both sets of monkeys can agree on! |

Well I only know two who hate each other too much: jedi and... ermm, er, ah, .. never mind the other persona, it's not important. But some say hate is akin to love, so maybe, there is actually love there? I mean on the part of the guy, at least. Harharhar! |

I have never heard of those pejoratives of which you speak.
I've never been to malaysia (except its airspace, that is) and can only speak on a filipino point of view, I think that all this mockery of these two is stupid, it's childish, and therefore, the reasons are the same. |

Quite contrary, the best of my Asian friends are Malaysians. I find we both share a passion for singing, that a Malaysian friend sang "Anak" to impress me. But I thought it was a normal thing to do, and did not see any competition in the process.
I have NEVER before heard of a conflict between Malaysians and Filipinos in the sense that you have described it. I can only surmise that you and your set of friends hate and are hated back by a group of Malaysians, and that you (and you alone) call each other those terms which, again, I have never ever heard of before.
In terms of comparing who looks better, or has better actors/actresses and singers, there is even no point comparing. In looks we are practically the same. In music and cinema we have separate and distinct markets making any comparison impractical.
In fact, if I must live in any other Asian country, I would most likely choose Malaysia. |

Honestly, I've never heard anything about Malaysians and Filipinos hating each other. Where did you hear about his? |

Our next door neighbors are Malaysian family. We have been good friends and neighbors for many years. We have some differences, but that makes life more varied and meaningful! Hatred is among the few, not all! Name calling is not a civilized way to live with our neighbors. The faults of some is not the fault of the entire nation! Let's widen our hearts and be more accommodating. |

This is a senester ... zenister..... sini ..... ok, evil plot, hatched by fans of Heart Evangelista; those who blamed that Malaysian actress who starred with Jericho Rosales, for the breakup between Echo and Heart.
On the other hand, there is this tale I remember of how some seven or eight Datus, eight probably since it is my favorite number, fled for their lives from Brunei, and escaping tyranny found the Philippine island of Panay, and thus started the settlements that formed the origins of the republic. Perhaps, descendants are still feeling the resentment. |

Both countries lay claim to the Island of SABAH, as well as the Spratlys Islands. Philippine relations with Malaysia have been bedeviled by a lingering dispute over the status of Sabah, the northeast corner of Borneo. The Philippines based its case on a claim to territories that were part of the former Sultanate of Sulu, a nineteenth-century entity whose territory straddled the present maritime boundary between Malaysia and the Philippines. Recently the problem has escalated due to the traveling back and forth from Sulu (especially Basilan) to Malaysia by Muslim rebels. |

I never knew about this dispute between the two countries. if ever there is, it is an isolated cases that crops up in the minds of idle people.Comparing their talents and name calling is kinda childish thing.
The long standing Sabah claim and the problem of illegal immigrants in Sabah are the two problems both countries are facing. Well, we can just put this problem aside and let the governments of both countries find a solution based on the principle of ASEAN community; while not denying the interest of each country. |
