Why do Malaysians think Malaysia has the best food, when it doesn't?

Of course that what Malaysian should think.

Its their food since their mouth can chew.
Wherever Malaysian go, they don't bring memories
about schoolmates or corrupted goverment or beaches around Malaysia.

They bring thoughts and memories about food.
Teh tarik, laksa, satay, nasi kandar penang, kung fu mee, patin masak tempoyak, yong tau fu and list goes on and on.

Australian will think Australia food is the best,
Kenya will think theirs, Japanese will think Japan only.
They should be! Because is the type food they grown up with.

So what's wrong if Malaysia being proud of Malaysia taste?
Everyone have different tastebuds and it's universal.

If it is just culinary chauvinism, we still think others don't have with what we have and we are proud of it. No matter what you or others think about us, we are proud of ourselves.

I have travelled around the world alot and ate all kind of food. Still, nothing beats Malaysians food. The taste and aroma are simply out of world.

I've known Canadians,Australians and Americans who admitted Malaysian food rocks.They even know which stall sells the best type of dishes.

Sure Malaysia is not in the top of the list when it comes to healthy and fresh food..but where else in the world could you find hot,salty,sweet food all in one?Not to mention cheap.

Call it culinary cultural chauvinism,but aren't you doing the same singing praises for Australia's and Kenya's food?
