Why do all (the ones i know) filipinos lie? even on the most smallest things....?

I've known my Pinay gf for more than a year and she's really an extraordinary person. However, she's a complusive liar... Difficult at the beginning, but now that I know, and she knows that I know, we laugh a lot about it. She sticks to her lies of course, but she knows that I'm no fool and in the end, it's all very funny, specially when she tells different lies about the same subject (difficult for liars to memorize all their lies). Patience, understanding, love and take life easy. That's the best.

It is the people you know and not that "all Philippinos" lie. Why they lie would depend on what they are lying about. Some people are prolific liars because it brings them needed attention. Also, they may be more likely to lie to you than perhaps other people they know. This could be due to pressures they may feel when in your presence. Give them a bit more space, but don't let them think that you are unaware of the fact that they are lying. Tell them that you are sorry they find it necessary to lie to you, but that you are willing to listen when they are ready to speak truthfully.

and not all filipinos love to lie.. 'everyone' lie sometimes. and when i say everyone, not just filipinos

my last filipina girlfriend lied to me. She told me I was the
best. Then I found out she told her husband he was the best.
Then he and I found out that she had been telling this other
guy he was the best. Finally we laid a trap and walked into
the room with her husband and went at it to find out who was
the best. She didn't even give us the answer after it was over
and demanded to know. She just took off out the door. I can't
understand them sometimes

Because it's tiring to be standing up the whole day.....so we lie down wherever we can to get rest. even on the street, or even on the smallest mattress. as long as we can lie flat on our back, then it's ok....... ohhhhh you mean LIE - as in not telling the truth????? opppps.

can u please rephrase ur question, it sounded like u are generalizing but specifying (ano daw??), u said all filipinos and the ones u knew, so not all but only the ones u know (getz mo ba??) perhaps its just those peopleÂ´s nature, or they probably have their own reason for lying, and perhaps they canÂ´t take all of the blame, becuz u probably are a liar as well so u see itÂ´s a human nature thang, ppl lie because sometimes it just comes out as it is, it doesnÂ´t have to do anything with race or whatever!

they don't want to get embarrashed by what they really are or have - and they are a little bit of brag - and make them feel secured that way. Bad habit - big yes. I hate it when people do that - especially on the female side. On male side - it is expected but not on female.

I don't believe it is lying. Filipinos (the ones I know and have met) just always like to have an answer to a question and I don't know why but they just don't like to admit they don't know.

My wife is one like that, if I ask her a question, she will start telling me this and that and thinking of what to say, and by now (3 years) I know enought to say to her "you don't know right?" and she will then admit that she does not know. (bless her little heart).

On the streets here in PI when I first arrived over 3 years ago, if you ask someone "WHERE IS ???" you will get an answer but then 2 hours later you find that you were sent in the wrong direction because they didn't know either.

It used to bother me but now I just kinda roll with the flow and if they start "uh? um?" I just say "that's ok I remember now".
