Why do girls/women pluck their eyebrows?

I couldn't agree with you more. We pluck our eyebrows to keep them neat-looking and to keep us pretty (haha). Unfortunately, a lot of women either don't know how to pluck or they over-fantasize a certain look which in reality do not suit them at all.

I agree, over-plucking is definitely worse that not plucking at all. However, most women need to do some maintenance on their eyebrows. But even a bushy eyebrow isn't as bad as a shaved off and penciled in one... or worse...tattooed. AAH!

Men also pluck their eyebrows - the ones that had gone astray. Fake (or tattooed) eyebrows are for those who lost their naturals, some are hereditary, some due to the aging process. Might not be entirely pretty but hey at least they are finding solution to their problem. Thick eyebrows (like the poodle hair do's) are so 80's -- unless you're stuck in a time warp plucking is pretty natural.

I agree with you ;) It is not nice to see women with thin or fake eyebrows. Well, I am not like them. What GOD have given me is enough :)

i get them waxed-it makes my face look like it's shaped differently,if that makes sense.
NOT drawn in,i don't like that look.

you can do it well and you can do it badly.
thick, out of control eyebrows are not attractive.
thin or drawn on ones are not either.
its about making a balance.

I pluck & wax to give shape, nothing worse then really hairy eyebrows or a monobrow lol.

it is to trim that unnecessary bushy eyebrow. consider it like shaving your mustache or beard. there are other alternatives to plucking though (coz it might hurt terribly). one may wax, use a tickler or shaver to remove stray hair. some even go to the extent of shaving everything off and getting it tattooed permanently.

We pluck astray hairs as well as unibrows but to completely pluck all or shave all the eyebrows and then draw it with eyebrow pencil is hideous unless you do a theatre play. It looks like an eyebrow drawn with a marker.

In other nations, ladies think that a drawn eyebrow is edgy and it complements their outfit (harajuku) and some ladies with thin eyebrows apply eyebrow pencil to achieve fuller brows.

u cant wax your eyebrows but you can pluck it....most women pluck their eyebrows to add shape to their face...i used to thread my eyebrows than pluckin it! try it...its cool.

Some women hate the idea of a scattered hair in eyebrowns so they align it by plucking them. Then they enjoyed doing it and re-design it into a fine hair string lining the eyes. Then they enjoy it further and totally eliminate it and put a pencil line there instead. Little did this women knew that those hair serve as a protection to their eyes. And they looked like a Japanese doll and a Barbie doll in the process. They thought it looked clean and give them some snobbishness look. They looked like a skin headed junk.

its called taking care of themselve. those who have fake brows is because they accidently plucked the wrong one. not because they did it on purpose
