Why do people need to closed eyes when sleeping?

So you don't see anything that keeps you awake like light and so your eyes don't dry out. But some people can sleep with thier eyes open.

so there eyes wont dryout and then completly loose sight in them. also you dont need to have any outside influences while you sleep because that will mess up your whole prossesing in your brain of what you did that day.

to keep your eyes moist, you have fluid circling around your eyes 24/7 when you blink your eyelids ad more moisture and help you to see clearer, some people do sleep with their eyes open but when they do wake up they find that trying to see and blink is hard and painful as the eye has dried out and dust and other particles have gone in during the night, so when they blink in the morning all the bits in the eye scratch it and can lead to further damage

Cuz ur blind when ur asleep? Or do you see everything that goes on while u sleep? If your eyes were open but you were asleep, you couldn't see because you're asleep, silly. Your brain tells your eyes to not see if it tells your body to sleep. Got it? now close your eyes and go to sleep, it's 2:00am and what are u doing up so late. Try taping your eyes open and fall asleep, if you fall asleep you won't know it cuz ur sleeeeeping.....zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

to relax after tiring and very stressful of our works.Aside of our eyes but also of our mind because people says we want to feel a relax,eat a right food especially some veggies like carrot(this good for our eyes)take a vitamins,exercise and proper diet, take a enough of sleep until next day we are feeling good and of course always a positive thinking and be happy with our loved ones
