Why do people waste time in replying questions they think stupid?

Some questions labeled by some people as stupid are not really stupid. They just do not get the satire, which is a higher form of communications.

People reply to questions they label as stupid because they see that as a chance or a platform to project themselves intellectually superior. Why? Because conventional wisdom tells us that the brighter person is the one who can spot the fault or whatever mistake there is.

Unfortunately, these people are actually not smart enough to handle this tricky situation. In the process they are the ones exposed, ironically, as the less intelligent creatures.

Can't say that I often do that. But sometimes the question are just funny enough that I may just be in a mood to entertain it.

Now if you think about it, your question might be considered pretty stupid. Do you really expect a serious answer to your question? There are so many more interesting ones out there. We can be discussing something as interesting as why an omnipotent God took 6 days to create the world. Or was Obama really choked up in anger or did he just need to clear his throat?

Now we all would have an opinion of what questions and answers are stupid. But if I am ever asked a question that is in my opinion stupid and I choose to answer it, it is simply because I am free to do so. I need not justify or rationalize any of my actions (including stupid ones) for as long as no harm is caused to anyone.

One day, a man walked up to his son and said, "son, i am a very wealthy and powerful man. I can buy you anything you want. Now being your highschool graduation day, i am giving you this offer of anything you want. Money is nothing to me. Tell me anything you want and I will get it for you." The son replied without hesitation and said, "I want 1,000 green golf balls." The father, obviously bewildered asked the son why, and his son did not answer him. The father however, gave him the 1,000 green golf balls he had asked for. 4 years later, The son had graduated from college and the father once again made him an offer. "Son, i am very wealthy, and i am very powerful. Money doesnt mean a thing to me. Once again, tell me anything in the world that you want and i'll get it for you. The son once again asked for 1,000 green golf balls. The man had grown very angry by this time, but loved his son so much that he gave him the 1,000 green golf balls. The two men separated and after 5 years, the son had a computer software business and was very wealthy. As a congradulations gift, the man gave his son the generous offer of anything that he wanted in the world. The son once again said that he wanted 1,000 green golf balls. The man was furious but gave his son the golf balls. They separated once again but did not talk for almost 20 years because the man was so angry at his son. One day, his son got in a car accident and his father flew across America to come to his side. The son was in very bad shape. Despite all of their anger, the father said, "Why did you want all of those green golf balls all of these years?" The son looked into his eyes and said, "Well I..." And then he died.

Because they have thought about the questions, people like to tell around while they have thoughts. The thought is "the question is stupid".
U have thoughts about these stupid people and now ur question is obviously not a question but an accusation.
And it worth digging up about the question y people like to wasting time? Like me... I don't know, maybe because I'm not willing to do something worth doing now. It make me feel I am committing a crime on myself...WOW

As has been said above, they want some points, no real intentions to help. Some have nothing to do and can't think of other thing to kill their time. Others, just for the joy of it. Joy of hurting others with sarcastic or nonsense words. Have you heard the word "sadistic"?

I don't reply to questions that I think are stupid. Others may think or view them differently though, it's their opinion. I have never labeled a question as stupid; I may think that it is but I don't openly embarrass the asker by stating the obvious..

hahahaha! everyone seems to want to share their opinion and it's others opinion that some questions are just stupid. nicole's news is a very touchy subject, at least for a filipino like me.

or maybe, others have nothing to do or just plain bored at work like me. cheers!
