Why do women show off their breast by the way they dressed?

I've often heard it said, "if you have it, flaunt it". However, I don't subscribe to such a maxim. Modesty is still a virtue for me. Anyway, there's a false bravado or a sense of satisfaction/gratification in women who dare to bare their front in the way they dress when the menfolk give them the appreciative whistles or looks. Not all men who do that are playboys as you've suggested. Some are the decent, boy-next-door type of men who just appreciate beauty when they see it. In like manner that women who are large-breasted are not fickle or flirt. It just so happen that they are more blessed than the others and are happy with what they've got that they take pride in "showing" their asset.

Not all big-breasted women are butterflies...flitting from one flower to another. Even the medium-sized or small-sized breasted women do that. It entirely depends on the woman's character, breeding and sense of propriety; on what she considers modest and not.

Just open your eyes and look around, billboards, magazines, television....any place you look you'll see advertisements for women to stay looking younger. I work with a woman who is 60, but looks 35. She takes care of her body and her beauty. Now I have known some guys/ gals who would drop their girlfriends/boyfriends be cause of a weight gain. What does that say about society today? I know first hand on what getting dumped means. MY ex wife divorced me cause I had put on weight, stress had put me to the edge (going bankrupt and not able to find a job for a year)and she ran off with a muscle bound guy from work. today, it's all in the "LOOK". People aren't really interested in much of anything else, if you have the "Look" then you are in the few lucky ones who will be in demand. but there is a blight to having beauty...it'll fade...then you'll be just like the rest of us. enjoy the ride while it lasts.

Remember the song: "If you want to be happy for the rest of your life, never make a pretty woman your wife, take my personal point of view...get an ugly girl to marry you"

It's all about trading up, If beauty was it, there would be no Divorce in Hollywood!

My friend married a guy for his looks, she wanted every other woman to see how gorgeous he is and envy her! the down side is that he smacked her around alot till she moved out! Beauty is skin deep, but ugly is to the bone! Make good choices!

women show off their Breasts to attract certain types of males/females. they find out early in life that showing off the breasts will open doors for them and allow them to places others aren't allowed to enter. some women have to get sluttier and sluttier to maintain their position with the bad boys they want sooooooooooooo bad.

It's a way for women to feel better and probably doesn't have anything to do with men.. It's a way for them to feel beautiful and they have all the right to do what they want...

showing cleavage is not showing off breasts. it's natural part of female anatomy not for public display but okay to highlight like good legs.
size of breasts is not indication of a girl's morals. it's not her fault she got curves. not all women use her body to gain material things. that's rubbish.

Just interested in answering the first question. Well, actually, it's another question to a question. If women show off their cleavage, would that mean, as a man, I am free to stare at it?

We can look at the answer two ways.

One is that they can't help it, and two, they have the wares and want to flaunt them.

In the first case, it means they are poor and can't buy enough material to cover 'em up. In the second case, they may not be poor at all, but would rather be, as an excuse.

I have never agreed with any psychology article I've ever read in my whole life.

Would they leave their men when they can no longer provide their "whims"? As with othe sober answerers, I say it depends on the individual case. Mostly, women are loyal to their husbands, no matter what size of bra they sport.

Men are attracted to toys with most of them the bigger the toys the more they are attracted to them. Loyalty! what is that?With 55% of marriages ending in divorce "mostly do to cheating by both females and males" who do you think is loyal? While it might partly be true that men discard women when they are no longer attractive, women quite often discard men when they are no longer keeping them financially secure and some will even dump their man for a fitter more attractive man.

That apply to some individuals but keep in mind that people are different. We may know some and see women flaunting their assets for whatever reason.
They say "sex sells" so maybe that cleavage thing does work.
I know several female real estate agents who do very well.
They all have that cleavage thing going on.
