So your touching sense is more stimulated if your brain doesn't have your sight busy too. Think about it just like when blind people have better touch,smell and can hear better. Momentarily I think that applies for this too. That and it makes you focus better.

I wondered the same so tried it with eyes wide open. It just isn't the same. A kiss loses its intensity and its' feel good affect when the eyes are wide open and more-so when both couples have them open.

When you close your eyes when kissing a romantic partner, you feel more sensation. Kissing involves a lot of imagination and sense of touch, it's an intimate body contact. Kissing with eyes wide open gives you distraction besides that it feels weird.

For one, you get cross-eyed when you look at each other's eyes that real close. Next, it comes instinctively. And last, you feel more the passion of the kiss when you close your eyes...when you both close your eyes.
