there are plenty of reasons why i love my country, PINAS!
HAHAHA!! that would be my first reason...yes filipinos love to laugh....we are happy people.....where can you find any race that even if we are going through tough time still have time to laugh...we enjoy life....and we always believe that everything has solution so we dont take problems too seriously.....coz life should be taken lightly.....and Filipinos are known to savor life to the fullest.....
Pinas is a tropical country and with that in mind...expect the warmest people you'll evr meet.....tourist will certainly feel at home with our hospitality.....it doesnt matter if you're rich or poor...you are always welcome to dine with us...and speaknig of dine.....we have the most delictable dishes......filipino dishes are just perfect coz we cook with love and gusto....common tell me, who hasnt fallen in love with our ADOBO? its just like our people.....just one taste of adobo and ull get hooked with it!! thats for sure!
PAMILYA or family.....i believe filipino families are ideal in a way that we are closed knit....we put much respect to our elders....built with a unique family value which centers in LOVE and faith......
and lastly.....i love the PINAS because where can u find hidden paradise but here....from the best beaches and snorkelling.....hot and cold springs......waterfalls..hidden coves..ich in cluture to fiestas where u will sure be stuff....to street dancing..........there are lots of reasons why i love my country.....i cant even count the reasons......but if you want to know more....why wont you stop by and we will sure show you how to redefine "FUN"!!
MABUHAY ANG PILIPINAS!!! |

That's my "MotherLand". I may have served the US Armed Forces for 20 years. But if called to defend her, I'll do what my ancestors (Lapulapu) did during their time. I'll take a couple of bullets for her and you kabayan. |

I love the Philippines because the people are amazing, food is amazing, and shopping is amazing. =]
I love being in the Philippines because i feel a sense of security, and i can almost feel the culture being thrust upon me. The familiarity of being there, looking like everyone else, and not being the minority.
Though the air is smogy and very humid, it's my sense of home. It's where i was born, and where my parents grew up. Everywhere i go and everything i see, my parents have a story to tell be about that place. Whether it be the hospital i was born in, or where my dad used to go fishing to feed his 11 brothers and sisters.
It's simply, AMAZING. |

It's not just because it's the place where I was born but because I love the culture, I love the place (beaches, falls, hot springs, cold springs, forests, mountains, marine sanctuaries, hills, islands, & so much more.) You just can't stop discovering the beauty of my country. I want to travel more within the Philippines someday then the foods! I can make a big list for my faves. LOL! & because of the people/ 'kababayan' (especially family, relatives & friends) We're clannish, religious, we love videoke & lechon! LOL! Nothing can compare a Filipino style gathering/ party. There's no place like home. (--,) |

There is a certain type of 'magic' regarding the Philippines. Its unexplainable sometimes or the list is too long to mention here.
For me,the close family ties and true friends that will never leave you no matter what happen are the best things regarding the Philippines. The camaraderie among neighbors. The poor, hold-uppers, thieves, addicts and the juveniles. Do not get me wrong. I've worked with these kind of people since I was in Uni. They need help and someone that they will feel that they are someone special. Respect them sincerely and you can expect nothing less. The hardest part is to get their complete trust. By the way, they were the ones responsible for giving me farewell parties for 2 consecutives weeks before leaving the Philippines. This is, in their own capacities to buy what they can afford. They're the one ones I love most regarding the Philippines. They're a very close second next to my relatives there. Some of them were salvaged, killed, in prison, started working and the most special, renewed their studies.
Again, there's a certain kind of magic. It will mystify everybody.
If given the chance, I want to 'work' with them again. |

mainly for the fact that i was born here.and wishes to die here as well. who else could ever love it more that us who were born and raised here? while there may be some tough times and challenging problems our country is facing, i think we owe it to the country to do our own fair share to make it a better living place. |

I like those delicious mangoes they have. And Milkee Polvaron candy, but I don't think they make it anymore because the last couple of people who came back couldn't find it and brought me other polvoron that wasn't even edible. I also like mango ice cream, BBQ, all the delicious food, how much they like white people like me, and just being surrounded by 99.9% Asian people puts me into a relaxed state, that maybe has something to do with my social phobia, but I just feel safe and accepted there, like an interesting person people want to know more about. I just wish I could've gotten closer to the people in the neighborhood I lived in and my wife's family, but the language barrier seemed a problem. Also I could've tried harder, got out there and gone hiking with the guy who invitied me, played basketball with the guys, skipped going to the mall so much for relief from the humidity and temp. And if I'd had more money to spend. I don't know if I'll retire there someday because I love the High Sierras in US more, but the idea has its merits. |

Adam, I don't envy your task in trying to find the best answer for this question. I personally think that most of them a great.
I love the Phils because I am actually able to relax when I go there for holidays. I also like to think that by me being there I am contributing a small bit in assisting some Filipinos.

I love the Philippines because it's the only place I can call home. I was born there and lived there all my childhood years before my teen years where I moved to England. Even if the country's corrupt and in poverty, I'm proud to have come from this country. The filipinos and their personality are unique... where else can you find such hospitable people? The culture's amazing too... I miss it so much when I'm in England...
when I graduate from medicin, I'd like to serve there... help the less fortunate people. |

It's the land of my birth...it's the home of my people.
It is there where my parents nurtured me; it is there where I learned my ABC; it is there where I earned my AB and MA degrees; and hopefully, where I'd finally settle after the MD
(as in Marriage Degree?).
Being in the States is just a way station. Home will always be the Philippines and home is where the heart is. |
