Why do young filipina girls like to wear bikinis so much?

I'd like to think that *I'm* a young Filipina girl, but I don't really like bikinis much, nor any of my friends.

Even if a lot of them are, I don't think the bikini-clad aren't as much as those in European countries, or even in the States, but maybe it's the weather here; it's hard to be bundled up in this heat!

It is only a small per centage of Filipina's that wear bikinis. The Filipina's that do wear bikinis are usually well off, westernised or in the entertainment business. The greater majority still wear a t-shirt and shorts because: a) they are modest and b) they don't have the money to waste.

Most of the answers are wrong. Probably these people don't live in the Phils.
Filipinas in general don't wear bikinis, but swimming suits. The ones wearing a bikini would still wear a t-shirt and shorts.
Many of them don't wear any swimming suits, but their bra and panties, of course covered with the t - shirt and shorts.
Don't believe it? Then just take a trip over here..

Its perfectly fine for young fil girls to wear bikinis as long its not on the streets.

One's wearing bikini on the beach or swimming pool is certainly nobody's business. Thats normal.

first of all, what is so objectionable about wearing bikinis? seems to me you are insinuating that wearing bikinis is so un-Filipino...how wrong you are!!! Filipinas, modest as they are, dress comfortably and appropriately...if it's bikinis for them, so be it...if they got the body for it, why not? it's a matter of personal choice...not a cultural thing...and certainly, not a moral issue.

I disagree. Filipinas are by majority conservative when it comes to beachwear although if you head to Boracay almost everyone will be wearing bikinis.

If you search previous questions, there are several people who kept on asking why Filipinas prefer not to flaunt their bodies in bikinis/2 pc swimsuits in the beach when Filipinas have such beautiful skin colors.

Only the Westernised, wealthy ones wear bikinis. Or the ones that are trying to get male attention...........

The average Filipina does not have money to waste on a bikini, or beach holidays.

The Filipinos are wonderfully friendly people, but remember it is a poor country and the only work for a lot of girls is in the sex trade. If they are interested in you, it may well be your money, not you.
If you want to see the real country, head out into the provinces, especially Pampanga.
