I really dont think Singapore is Boring. Maybe you should tell us a place you think is not boring. What can you do there that you cannot do in Singapore? (except drugs)
Maybe these places you are talking about that are not boring because that have the following:
Shopping that are 24hrs - hey we have mustafar!
Clubbing till sunrise - opp forgot ... many clubs open till 5 or 6 in the morning now
a themepark - there's Escape Theme Park and of cos the IRs will be open soon
Nature stuff - hmmm there nature trial all over the island and if you want a bit more there Pulau Ubin
Mountians - thats a toughie ... but about 2 hours drive into malaysia and you can climb all you want (hey even in the USA you may not have a mountain in your backyard)
sea sports - have you been to the east coast? there's even cable skii now.
Zoo - World class zoo and the first night zoo in the world
Extreme Games - There a Reverse Bungee in Clark Quay, Paint Ball parks (I know at least 3 of them)
Paid for Pleasure stuff (Pros) - There Gaylang (its legalize by the way)
and the list goes on ... do tell me what is it that makes singapore boring.
Oh what we do not have : Dirty Streets, Kids begging for money, gansters pushing drugs around.
PS ... Singapore is Clean and Safe too! |

Boring???
That's because you don't know where to look for entertainment!
I like nature walks, cycling and pinic at east coast. All these are enough to keep me busy for the whole day!
With IR coming up in Sentosa and Marina Bay and Singapore Flyer, all I can say is Singapore is getting interesting than boring ^^.
Looking towards an interesting Singapore as time progress. |

No place is boring in the world. It all depends on what you looking for!!! If you like mountain climbing, you don't go to a place where there is no mountain, right... So, I suggest you spare sometime to see what you like to do and find places that suit you.. By the way, if Singapore is bored, there wouldn't be millions of visitors going every year.... hee hee |

After reading so many good answers, you must now have a pretty good idea of what our cosmopolitan city can offer.
If you had stayed long enough and seen the eastern and southern parts of the country, visited the Discovery, Science Centre, and top two nightclubs, etc you will not conclude that the place has 'nothing to see or do' and is therefore 'boring'.
Few tips and plus points here will help you to appreciate better:: 1) You can travel from one point to another in less than 45 mins in clean and comfortable public transport. You can often call for a taxi within 10-15mins. So you never waste time travelling, in Singapore.
2) You can find an eatery within minutes and there is a huge variety of food and drinks. A gourmet paradize.
3) In many countries you get a lot of delay, hassle, etc from Customs or police, whenever you get into a minor problem and you need to bribe yourself out. No such thing here. You would have known this fact by now.
4)You can walk the streets at night and feel safe. Unless you flash a lot of valuables around.
I have heard countless of stories from travellers going to exciting but unsafe countries, and after they get robbed, they swear they would never visit those countries ever again.
Actually much depends upon what your interests, hobbies, are before you can enjoy a place or a country. We got to become a First World country through a lot of development and building a lot of facilities, for both locals and tourists. You must have missed out all those attractions mentioned in the answers, so I encourage you to stay longer and visit more places., including taking some time to speak to the locals. For a population of only 4.3 million, aiming for an annual tourists arrival of 8-9 million is really something--we must have a lot of interesting and exciting things for people around the world.
I wish you a happy and eventful stay in one of the most modern, civilized and exciting cities in the world! |

It's not boring
Just open your eyes, (brain as well would help)
I've never had enough time there to do more than scrape the surface.
If all else fails, ask, the locals are friendly and will help you find ways to spend the hours.

its more of who you hangout with?
i can be at my neighbourhood mall, but if i have my loved ones with me, who can say the place is boring?
but practically speaking, Singapore is't boring!
i go to east coast cycle, blade and peopl-watch, enjoy the breeze, eat the good food.
i go to town to shop, eat good food again, and take photos.
i walk through quiet neighbourhoods with towering flats, thinking about my childhood.
i go to changi airport to watch planes, send off my friends, and even spend the night there!
Singapore isn't boring, especially if my loved ones are here. |

What proof do you have to say this?
I can tell you, Singapore is not at all a boing place. there are many things you can do here.
There are so many tourists attractions and if that isn't enough for you, I really don't know what to say.
And if you think Singapore is such a boring place, I suggest you keep your comments to yourself or show some proof. |

in case u never noticed, this is a well disguised, over decorated al-catraz. a place where censorship is everything. why so boring? too many rules n regulations, too many prohibitions... escalating costs of living...etc.
the biggest laugh n irony... is telling overworked n underpaid zombies to get outta their hermit shells, hang loose, appreciate some form of arts/ entertainment.
sorry for being a little less tacful, but, this is as exciting as it gets. |

I think I agree a little because in singapore you can't see a lot of wild people wandering around like in the U.S.Singapore is a serene place for tourists who escape from a busy life they have in their countries. However,if you'll try to enjoy the different atmosphere in that place you might not find it really boring. |

i dont think its boring.
however, i do have to disagree with this statement:
"3) In many countries you get a lot of delay, hassle, etc from Customs or police, whenever you get into a minor problem and you need to bribe yourself out. No such thing here. You would have known this fact by now."
you must be a local..do you know how bad your officials treat foreigners?? the customs always treat tourists as though we're all bringing in bombs.. that being said, its not a very friendly country. |

Any place in the world can be boring... or exciting, if you want it to be. Maybe the source of the "bore" is with the question's asker? |

if you love outbound adventure, its true that Singapore is a boring place. no mountain to climb, no natural beach to sun bathing or swimming ( the Sentosa island Beach is a human made beach) and so on. the island is just too small to outbound activities.
but if you love modern life, various of food, or historical sites, Singapore is the right place for you. |

If singapore is boring, wait till you go to the US...
It is much more boring than Singapore...
at least in Singapore, you can go nearby to Malaysia and Indonesia... if you are tired of shopping, shopping and shopping...
But if you are in US or England...
The place is so big where you have to drive everywhere and it is not open till midnight like Singapore... |
