Papa Chuck I consider myself a Christian.
So when Jesus said that He was the truth, only a few people believed, when He showed miracle after miracle, some people believed, when He rose from the dead many of his disciples finally believed.
Those that did not believe even with the overwhelming evidence did not believe because it will turn their world upside down, it will rock them out of their comfort zone & it will force them to give up a lot of what they have.
The truth will always be the truth whatever happens but a lie will always be found out in the end.
People spreading lies as truth are just waiting for bad consequences to befall them.
But anyone admitting their mistake or their folly & starting anew will correct them all. For ALL of us aren't perfect & all of us make mistakes. |

Sometimes truth may pose as a threat to the ego.
It is easier to maintain the status quo than have the ego undergo upheaval.
(For example: the world is flat- a dated belief.) |

Blinded by too much indecent proposals.. I guess. People tends to be narcissistic and they will only listen to something that they know that they can benefit more than the others and some will continue believing the lie they made in fear that they will be rejected by the 'only' place where they can outshine others (It doesn't really matter if there are true friends or not 'cause it's only in their mind anyways). Well, these people got their own mind and I'm sure they are mature enough to know which is trustworthy or not so it's really up to them now if they will start to open their senses or just remain blinded and deaf even though everything is clear enough to see. |

sometimes its no longer the issue of integrity but about perception... sometimes it doesn't matter already who's telling the truth or who's telling a lie... anyway, people will always believe what they want to believe. for people to listen to you, you must open first their "first brain". |

Judas crying to Jesus:
All your followers are blind.
Too much heaven on their minds.
It was beautiful, but now it's sour.
Yes it's all gone sour.
Listen, Jesus, to the warning I give.
Please remember that I want us to live.
C'mon, c'mon
He won't listen to me ...
C'mon, c'mon
He won't listen to me ... |

Who says they don't believe? Maybe those who say they don't believe know the truth anyway, and simply refuses to acknowledge publicly. That is true when the affected person is considered by them a friend. In Asia, "face" is as important as life itself. |

Remember the blindfolded lady from Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice that holds a scale in her hand? The scale represents justice; in fact, the lady figure characterizes law and the judiciary.
To tip the balance of the scale to your side, you need to present what you know so that others may or can see. It is not only through intentions or "want" that you can attract those whom you "want" to listen. I and others who are also in the dark, are really interested to know what this is all about and who is this person you are alluding to as telling blatant lies. Please...
We shall all hear and listen and hold the scale of justice in our hand. We will then know who is telling the truth, who is not and let this entire thing be water under the bridge. |

The basis of psychological tests - the Rorschach, TAT etc - is based on the principle that people perceive what they want to perceive. Descartes: "I think and therefore I am".
I drew a cube and a Vietnamese student, in all seriousness "saw" a coffin. I drew a stick diagram of a boy with bended knees kicking a football. A young lady student "saw" a boy on bended knees proposing to a girl!
Great minds know this and none more so than in Lady Macbeth's soliloquy "Is this a dagger that I see before me, the handle towards my hand?" People reveal more than they conceal (unknowingly): your question included in the same category! |

i think it's a necessity of nature's cycle of life. Law of chaos. entropy. for every order is a tendency to a chaos. For every Chaos is a tendency to an order.
Emotional people finds truth as boring. because Truth don't apply to any laws. |

maybe you often tell a joke to them and sometimes even if you're telling the truth they'll think you're joking again..try showing some seriousness to them maybe they will at least believe at you...find out for your self the one that will prove the other side is telling a lie.. |
