Since I am going myself. and I been to the Philippines.
The women are submissive to men (generally- if treated right) and they are not whiners like Expat women. They have strong family values unlike expat women.
They are sexually active in bed. (most that I have encountered)
They give no lip, and take no chit.

I am not an attractive man so I find that instead of bagging a bloated hag in the States I can find me some trim beautiful girl half my age to love me and to take care of me. And I am willing to leave all my money with her when I die. so there you go any more stupid questions? lol |

It is a grave misconception that Filipinas are submissive. I am a Filipina and I am nowhere submissive. My friends, ex-officemates, mother and sister in laws are not submissive either. We stand our ground. We speak our mind. We even give ultimatums. We are known for our stubborness.
If you are going to the Philippines thinking you are gonna get a submissive woman and you realize that she really isn't, check back on this. |

He thinks women's behaviour is always controlled by their culture and upbringing. I'm sure educated and modern Filipinas are not cheap. He can get tons of cheap girls in wherever he lives now. You see, when you've travelled a lot that human types of behaviour are the same everywhere in this world when it comes to "being a partner in a relationship". |

I live in Cebu.I am british and have been here 3 years.The people,the weather and the value for money are the key attractions for most men.The pretty girls are just an additional bonus,although a welcome one.Filipinas are not subservient to their men but mainly believe in the sanctity of marriage and remain loyal to their man...unlike filipino men.Foreigners here are renowned for treating their ladies well.And there are many more americans than brits here Susan.Some men come here for the sex,but they rarely stay.Those that do love the way of life here. |

It takes two to make a partnership work, and both must have the same ideals, and put each other first. It isn’t about sex, or getting a young partner, it is all about love and understanding. Most Filipinas are very feminine, but a doormat never. The family to most is all-important, so is marriage. There are more women than men in the Philippines, and the foreign males seem to have a different idea of beauty to the local men. The foreign men are perceived by the women, as more caring and loving. Okay there will be exceptions on both sides, gold-diggers, dirty old men etc.
I met my wife here in Cebu, by pure chance, and we have been married a long time, well into double figures. We now live in Cebu, as I took redundancy, and retired early. I love Cebu and it’s warm friendly people, and climate. Ours is a genuine marriage, and I get on well with the family.
Above all my wife is my life’s partner, and not some sort of trophy. We have an equal partnership. We are both happy, both having had lying, cheating, thieving partners previously. I can trust her, and she me. |
