Why is love considered stupid?

Love is not stupid, it's rather a pain for those that don't understand it. It's great sadness and great pain of sorrow for one to bear of not receiving anything back. I believe stupid is the person who applying them self to the wrong person. Stupid is not learning and willing to accept what is real or what is not. (Sometimes I don't understand love too, but it's best to leave it that way. It's like an invisible hand and should be left alone. If happiness exist, love will exist).

I haven't heard anybody say that love is stupid. But I have seen & know that people who are in love do & will do stupid things in the name of love or for their loved one. Stupid is as stupid does.

Lots of things in life are stupid. At least love makes life a richer experience.

I've never known real love until I had a child. I've never felt so strongly about anything before I had my son- he is my joy and my heart. A world without him would be a world without love, and I wouldn't want that.

It's considered stupid by people who have not fully experienced true love.
The word "love" is thrown out there so lightly that people get confused and don't realize what true love is. Love is often used as a tool for people to get what they want from others as well. It is abused a lot and people don't understand it because of that.
Once you experience true love, pure love, as it was intended-- then you see it is not stupid.

Most commonly Love will be termed stupid by those who have been badly hurt by someone they "loved" and therefore choose to blame the idea of love. Love is an easy scapegoat for anyone who doesn't want to see reason so it's considered stupid.

once you get love you never want to leave from it. but for some people, they find a chick they love him or her, and says "oh well" to them when they find a better chick and runs along with the other chick. Then the process goes over and over again. It's kind of stupid to tell you the truth

yes it could be the best thing that could ever happen to you but could also be the worst.....when you fail. thats when people consider it a stupid love. they blame their heart why they fall in love for that person who doesnt love them at all. most people who fall inlove and failed would say " stupid heart, falling inlove in the wrong time"

It's only stupid when people say their in love and they aren't. Love today (in some societies) equals sex. Love before today meant REAL love. Wanting to spend the rest of your lives together. Not hopping from divorce to divorce thinking "oh maybe the next one will work out." I personally don't think I'm capable of falling in love because of all the crap people go through with it. I guess that's just me though.
