That depends on the places you go. In 3 years in Malaysia i have NEVER seen a woman that I would know she is a prostitute. This only means that you visit brothels too often.

let me correct your statement, Malaysia have prostitutes not full of prostitutes.

You only think Malaysia is full of prostitutes because you look for them every time you came here. Correct? A country doesn't have to be a non-Muslim country for prostitutes to exist. Try go to middle-east countries and you can find prostitutes. The 'market' for prostitutes are everywhere.

There are MANY muslim women prostitutes in muslim Pakistan, Indonesia too. Malaysia's muslim prostitutes are like anywhere else in the world, the result of a failed society that cannot offer other sources of income for muslims: young girls, single mothers, divorcees have to turn to prostitution to support themselves. Religion cannot buy these women their daily meals nor feed the children. On the other hand, we see a wealthy class of muslim Malaysians who continue their ways to enrich themselves. What is the government doing to solve this problem? Hauling these muslim girls, women off to attend religious class is NOT the answer - it's like sweeping dust under the carpet.

HOW CAN A YOUNG MUSLIM MOTHER WITH A BABY EARN A DECENT INCOME WITHOUT SELLING HER BODY???

Malaysia is a Muslim country, but not necessarily an Islamic country. As people say, prostitution is the oldest profession(?) in the world, and it exists anywhere even in the most theocratical country in the world. Malaysia is not full of prostitutes but of course they are lot of them and those prostitutes are mainly from China, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia who come here under tourist, student and working visas (or maybe PATI).

Strictly Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran can't solve this problem and I don't think even Taliban can eliminate prostitution.

If you compare to Singapore then it look like we have more BUT if your compare to Thailand, then......

hello mister..wanna cause trouble ah...compare to thailand we are no where....what about alcohol? its a muslim country right, but we still have alcohol, why...why you target the pros only,.you want one say so la...what do you think the country should do to prevent people from being pros? Any suggestion? Maybe you can answer this better than all of us here...Do you think the pros will stop their bussiness if we say no to them? same like cd haram...they tried to ban this till today, but yet ppl are still selling it..even if its a muslim country or not, the pros, corruption will be there...you cant change the country, but you can change yourself and attitude.

because in malaysia .. ppl are too conservative. thus sex becomes a taboo.

when guys cant get sex from their girlfrens/ wives .. they resort to prostitutes to satisfy their desires

I lived in Malaysia all my life and migrated to U.S recently. That was very interesting to learn from a foreigner that the country is full of prostitutes.....lol.

I think that you are a bit ignorant here. I saw that you wrote the same thing about Philiphines too. Maybe if you stop looking for them, and start travelling to other countries, you will get more accurate info. Dont forget that when there is a demand there is a supply .... San Francisco has many prostitutes and gays too, but i cant say the city is full of them.

Another interesting point to note - not all men who go for sex services are non-muslims, many of them are muslims and tourists.

Well, see it as a good sign....
If that is allowed or ignored then it means there
is a level of freedom in that particular country.
And Malaysia is a quite free country.
You can do most things you like.
The Islam thing only causes problems when you
need a certain license for something.
Like opening a club or a pub or a music event, etc...
That's why it can be so boring living in Malaysia.
Some things are seen as Satan so organizers get no license.
Apart from that it is a mellow country, not much problems...
The law system is a bit wrong and favours the Malays and not the others. That's bad but still people are relitively happy in Malaysia. But people do predict that it will cause problems in the future.......
