Why is mango juice so popular in the Philippines with filipinos but not so popular with filipinos in the USA?

Last time I was there every girl I went out with ordered mango juice to drink and I never had a girl order mango juice here. Even when we went drinking they ordered mangojito

Mango is very popular in the philippines and it tastes better than orange juice. Maybe they never order there(wherever you are) because mango juice is not in the menu and mango outside the philippines is very expensive.

Guess it's cuz the mango in phillipines tastes a LOT better than mango in other places in da world

lynne c
its very popular here bcoz everywhere you go you can grab a mango and every restaurant they have a menu and its cheap too, while in usa they would import it in any tropical place that makes it expensive, in addition if i get a lot of mango here i would deffinitely try new stuff abroad like fruits that isnt available here for a change...

its our national fruit.. l like mangoes too

Mango juice served in the Philippines are produced locally and therefore available there anytime, and the Filipinos there are sure about how it would taste, sweet with a little soury after taste. It is also naturally cheaper there than those served in places outside the Philippines. People usually drink what is more common in the place where they are. Enjoy the products where they are produced and taste best, is the usual motto.

mango shake and mango juice in the philippines are made from real fresh mangoes. the variety of our mangoes are different from the fresh ones available in america.

canned mango juice do not have the same quality and taste as fresh juice.

uct
Mango in the USA does not taste the same, they're from Mexico. Nothing beats the Pinoy mango specially the ones from Cebu.

Alastair S911
The one in the Philippines is fresh while the one in USA comes from a can and in concentrate form. But I still do drink mango juice even if it comes in a can.
Just need to remove rust spots from my teeth after I drink it.

Meena
mango is sweet and refreshing and is kind of a specialty here. in the US, obviously there are much more better tasting drinks there. or the Filipinos you knew practically grew up in that place.

Keepingmycool
because Philippine mangoes taste better than Mangoes sold in the US which comes from Mexico.
You can also get fresh mango juice in the Philippines because that is one of the Philippines' popular produce. Orange juice is not so popular because pure squeezed (not from concentrate ) orange juice is rare in the Philippines- and expensive.

mango is our national fruit and mango juice is most popular drinks among locals, outside the phils. it is more expensive and not widely available, that why girls dont ordermango juice . even in hotels in vegas , they dont serve mango juice.

Mangoes in the Philippines are of a different variety compared to the popular mangoes being sold in the US.

FYI, I don't even like the mango flavored sorbets being sold here. I wouldn't order mango juice here because I don't like the mango fruits they use.

I have to wait for the summer season to get mangoes similar to the ones in the Philippines. It's sold at Filipino grocery stores or, if you get lucky, at the big grocery stores in your area. I miss them!!!

If you're in restaurant in the Philippines, mango juice in can is cheaper than the fruit itself and labor is involved in making juice out of the fruit compare to the juice in can right?

Maybe in the US, it's expensive that's why they don't order it.

master G
mango juice is popular in the Pilipinas because its cheaper and they sell it everywhere, here in America you're lucky if they sell mango juice, its mainly mangoes from the store

Because mango is cheaper in Philippines, the USA import mangoes from Philippines particularly those mangoes from Guimaras Island/Province.
