Because muslims don't understand that wearing sexy clothes doesn't create rapists. Rapists are rapists no matter what a woman wears. Muslims don't want to learn from science and statistics. Especially the Malay Muslims, they don't want to learn anything at all. All they do is take all the fun out off life and make life boring and sad. And they have no respect for people who are different from them. Everybody has to adjust to them. Very unfriendly........ |

Haha, you are just unlucky - well I wouldn't wear thong to swim, because you don't want sand and other water bugs from the sea getting into your privates right?
If you want to swim laps you wouldn't want to get a wedgie either - damn painful. I used to swim laps in a string bikini, not thong bikini, just so that I get a tan at the same time that calories are burnt.
Of course I won't tell you where I do that haha, not for roving eyes like you:-D. |

But I would say it won't make them any better or worse if they choose not to wear it. For me this is not an issue at all

if u have something valuable, wouldnt u wrap it very nicely and carefully so it wont break, or scratched or get dirty? thats the thing with women. their dignity is so valuable and priceless so they wrap themselves up.
nevertheless, women are not diamonds to be put in a glass display box for the public to see, even though they couldnt be touched. they are humans and cannot be thought as things such as diamonds, because their worth and dignity are so much expensive than that.
so, wearing thong would make them pretty much like exhibits. women who know thw price of their dignity would respect themselves and cover their bodies appropriately.
and Asians have etiquette that they respect. |

Two reasons:
1. Shy. We are not like the Westerners who are more daring. We have different cultures, brought up differently.
2. Malaysia being a Muslim country frowns upon scantly dressed women who showed too much flesh.
However in the privacy of their own swimming pool at the back garden, I wouldn't be surprised if there are women who wear thongs during swimming. |

To assume all Malaysian ladies do not wear the thong might not be correct, some do. Maybe, you weren't at the right time and the right place?
Well, everyone has their own preferences when it comes to bathing garbs. Bikini, one piece swimsuit, tube, topless, etc. Religion might affect one's decision but there are other reasons such as shyness and of course, some ladies would like to cover some places where the sun never shine. |

hahaha good question, few theories here:
1) no Victoria Secret stores selling those cute swimsuit thongs and Adrianna Lima as poster girl- so no motivation and no stores to go to buy them
2) Religion issue. If you were to visit Malaysian hotel/beach resort websites, they will tell visitors to dress "appropriately", bikinis and thongs are not advisable. Also, its a Muslim country, people wear scuba diving suits to swim.
3) You have to look at different beaches/ swimming pool. bikini or thong wearers to go private pools and beaches. This is a privacy issue.
4) The law says it all. Again, it is a Muslim country, women are not allowed to wear exposed clothing in public, that includes thongs.
Yeah so based on those theories, you may have to look elsewhere. Beaches in Germany perhaps? |
