Because there's a "rivalry" goin' on...

- Thai people look like us, Filipinos.
- Cultural differences
- They claim the title of being the "Pearl of the Orient"
- We're both in SE Asia...comparison matters!

Well I don't think one's greater than the other. Some of us are better than them, and some of them are better than us.

The bottom line there is that..we're both Asians!

I am not neither one of them THAIS or FILIPPINOS but i would guaranty you that we are all southeast asian and we love each other and we must united to defende ourself again CHINA who try to control indochine,ofcourse there are in the world somebody got to hate somebody right?but generally we do not hate each other,but i found THAILAND AND PHILIPPINES very alike as both country got problem with their southerner because of muslim terrorist thought!so peace out and one and for all southeast ASIA,
one more thing is i found that some country claim they are the PEARL OF ORIENTAL,,,,THAILAND,VIETNAM,PHILIPPINES... etc etc but if i remember correctly that SAIGON is the origional one for that name,,,agree?

Thai people don't hate Filipino's, I'm pretty sure in Thailand anything that has to do with the Philippines is very rarely mentioned due to people not caring.

I've never found this to be the case... I've known several Thai's who have lived in the Philippines, and some Filipinos who lived in Thailand. I've found that they get along just fine. I'm sure that there are some people from each country that dislike the other, but that is just a case of narrow minded bigotry. In general they get along just fine.

Really? I didn't know. Anyway, I'm Filipina and I don't hate Thailand people. If they hate us...well...who cares.

007 just trying to stir the pot and see what happens. Anyway, I'm a Fil-Am and I've been to Thailand several times. And you know what they like Filipinos. Because they knew just like them, that we are tough, resilient, and hard working people. Oh, they are good beautiful people too.

You should not generalize. My girl friend has a Thai boyfriend and they get along well. Another boy friend also have close connections with several intelligent Thai ladies. I have never heard complaints or talks implying on your query on Thai against Filipinos.
