The best defense is ignoring them. Nothing more will make them simmer with failure than seeing you 101% unaffected. Even if you are actually boiling mad inside, hehe! And then the next best defense, try to outdo your present sterling performance now. Make them drool and go crazy with envy. Show them that such losers like them will never be able to put a good man down -- and that is you my dear! Good luck! Kick them on the ***, girl (even if only in your imagination, lol!)

I see them as really insecure people whose only way to feel good about themselves is to make others feel worse than them.
Instead of working to make themselves shine, they tarnish others so that they appear superior.

Well, just feel good (difficult as that may be since you're being targetted) that you are better than them, otherwise they wouldn't bother ganging up on you, right?

I walk this dark path alone

I guess the main reason is jealousy. They think that if they put you down then that makes you the weaker person, and they think they are stronger, and then therefore are better than you.
But when someone is mean to me all i can think about is how superior us nice people are to those meanies because we dont stoop so low as to hurt others.
Some people also like being hated, as opposed to loved. I guess its just something in their brain that makes being mean okay to them - lack of consious perhaps?
I call these people "negative/bad souls". And i dont associate with these people at all. I have no time for people who have these negative traits, or who need to put people down to feel better about themselves.

These people love seeing others suffer, they derive some sick pleasure from it.
It's definitely a dominance thing where they feel far superior by making misery of people's self-esteem. Often times these idiots are insecure themselves.
Best thing is to be the bigger person. Ignore. Walk away or take a stand, say your peace - let them have it!

welcome to real life...you have to face it whether you like it or not.

i once had a problem like this, i feel so upset when my own friend tried to pushed me down because of a girl. we like the same girl although i never get to know the girl very close.

he tell bad story bout me, but actually the girl didn't believe the story, finally both us never get the girl.

but since that incident we becoming more close, well i forgive my friend anyway. and now he become more sincere and responsible person.

sometime i have this type of attitude. but never translate it into action. if i felt he or she make me sick... i will do my job and ignoring him. that all.

but at my house, i can't handle this kind of problem. i always avoiding confrontation but people around me always to creating problem. everyday, i can hear someone's house has been attack by someone. even, my house... they do it just because his wife jealous with my wife because we got something more. why should he do that?

It is sick...I agree. But thats how life is. Whats bad is that if one is put down, and you dont react...and take everything what the other's say. Then not only are you being a minuscule creature...but a total loser.

yup its very true that these type of people are everywhere and they are all cowards...they attack the innnocents and try to suffercate them with their pervert activities..in their mind they think that by attaking the innocent they become the hero... but actually as u said the innocent are the one is capable to shine through regardless good or bad times....not these people... so basically in my point of view these type of people who puts others down n enjoys it they have alot of down fall and problems in their lifes so they try to hide that by doing these..
therefore we must not be afraid of these types of people....and must not let them to hurt us...indeed must teach them a good lesson....

Mind bogging as it sound coming from me. I don't understand these people at all. All l can say is they feel insecure with themselves and their job.
