Why would they not like ABBA ? When they were popular in the late 70,s and early 80 ,s they were Sweden's biggest exporters surpassing Volvo and SAAB. They would put any of the current " Karaoke Groups" to shame ! They composed, played and sang their own music and are still played today more than 20 years after retirement. So, if you do not like them that's fine but just show a little respect.......... |

They were very popular during the late 70's/ early 80's. Their songs are always dancable and alive, very fit for disco settings.
Nowadays they may never be cool anymore to many people especially the young, but nonetheless they still have fans. Also they seem to enjoy a small comeback because their hit song "Dancing Queen" was revived and used as theme song in a hit Australian movie. |

The generation before us adored them. And for a good reason --- they can dance, they can sing, having the time of their lives and infecting their listeners and fans. |

They are the most successful act to win the Eurovision Song Contest, back when it was still a proper music contest and not a fixed joke contest. Abba then became a world wide successful act, and their music is still good, when compared to a lot of modern music. |

ABBA is the best band in the ENTIRE world. So much better than most of the crap released nowadays. Did you know that they get at least $10 million a year for their songs? And they were offered $1 billion to perform together again? I could list so many reasons why people like ABBA. The harmonies, lyrics, EVERYTHING!!! And they can actually sing.......! |
