Anyway this is a true case that happened to this group of college students I knew.

The dad's some kinda datuk. Got 1 wife & few mistresses. So the son rarely sees his dad & even if his dad's around he doesn't care. So he hanged out with d'wrong gang and wasted his allowance and college funds all on cigs, pub & etc. Eventually got addicted to dope and borrowed from loan sharks. Since he hv. to pay his college but already wasted it & addicted to those pills and stuffs with loan sharks hot on his end. He & his friends schemed on some lame kidnap case.
The dad paid but his friends got greedy and asked for more before releasing him. So the dad was worried if pay but got killed. So since he's "influential" so he called up some of his friends in security and police force. Thn they nabbed those kids on their second attempt. Immediately his accomplice spilled the beans out.

The last I heard, the friends became enemies.
Police released them so the dad says so.
Dad never forgave the son sent him off to some Europe country & gave just enough to fin. his studies.
Dad took back his sports car, sent him to rehab overseas and almost divorce his mum. But dn't but his dad marry his dunno wht 2nd/3rd wife and he blamed himself coz. tht gave his dad good excuse. Kesian now his mum all alone.

I was rather disappointed and shocked coz. knew some of them personally. People can just do anything for money.
