For anyone who think that all Thai girls love money; How can you Judge all Thai women like that? I'm Thai and I don't interest in ANY Farang's money.

For the question; Yes, love can happen with everyone in the world. In my opinion, Race is not considered as a reason for love.

Yes, many Thais prefer Westerner because they believe that westerner treat women better than Thai man. No cheating, No prostitutes need, No soap massage after marriage (Many Thai men cant stop doing that after marriage) AND it may be stereotyped, I don't really know.

I'm kinda sad reading many comments in this section about how bad Thai girls are. I admit that many Thai girls are attracted to westerner because of money. Anyway, I don't think this happen only in Thailand, many girls who don't have knowledge, fortune or choices in poor countries/social must seek for better life. They want easy-money since they are in sex business so prepare yourself if you want a real love from them. Some of them may be good but ... in that kind of environment, it's hard to stay pure and still believe in power of love. They just believe in money. How sad...

And if you have bad experience with bar girls, don't say that all Thais are the same.

And if you've never find any good Thai girl after long time here (get out of the bars/red light district please), I think you should consider about yourself. You may be attracted to only that kind of girls. Open you mind, you will find one. Again, How sad you are...

Yes why not? There are many Thai girls that are normal and interested in a western man. There is probably more than you think. My wife, she's Laotian. We are a perfect match....
I had family on her side help me finish all the Lao paperwork and her family even helped me pay for the paperwork and no dowery so i could save up so i can take good care of her when she's here.
It's been perfect!
But to answer your question yes there are!

Firstly, yes it is possible, and there are many Thai women married and happily living in the UK. I myself have a g/f in Thailand, and not one from a bar. We were introduced by a mutual friend a couple of years ago and are now considering marriage.

It saddens me though to read some of the earlier mesages that refer rather negatively to Thai women being just interested in money. As with any other woman, they want security for the future, but given the culture in which they are raised, they also want true love and respect just as much.

If you have not been, I would suggest that you visit Thailand and get away from the fleshpots and 'red light' areas and get to know some of the real, genuine people there.

Yes but many Thai girls are happy living in Thailand not like the Philippines where they want out. Yes you are a walking ATM machine but they are no different than the majority of women in the world. They are looking for security and they know when they hit 30 the cheesecake is going and there are many younger girls that will take there place.

Yes It's possible but it depends on the person. When I lived in Thailand I never date a westerner. I saw many "farang kee nok" all over Thailand and i don't think it will be a good idea to have a relationship with them. Farang kee nok always walk with bar girls and come to visit Thailand only for buying sex and most of them don't have good education or they are running away from criminal records from their country. from what i see it's not easy to find a good farang in Thailand so that why i 'm not interesting to date one of them.......are you going to Thailand for looking for a wife? That's weird!

Sure. A thai person ( a guy) once told me that Americans and English are viewed as Superhumans in the eyes of Thai women. As if they are a superior group. Now bear in mind this coming from a Thai Man.

many thai girls that they don't care about money 'cause they have a good job,good earn. they care only about the love and the way the guy treat her. so if u are sure that u can treat her well,so go on.

Not if you ask the girls parents. Many places they will "loose face" if their daughters find a western man. But you have to understand their culture first to understand that.

YES!! - You must be prepared for tremendous lack of understnading as not only are there cultural and language differences, but their way of thought and logic does not always make sense in a Western framework.. so, being relaxed and open minded is always necessary.. And, I have a Thai wife, not from the red light district and there are sooooo many girls in the local villages, towns, offices in Bkk, who would love to have a nice husband that will be kind and treat them well - and will return the favor too.. I am approached constantly and chat with Thai people all the time and many many lovely ladies would like a farang husband... keep your eyes open, your heart open, and learn to respect and appreciate her culture and all the differences in the ways of thought - - but learn first - some of these might not be acceptable to you.. The beautiful smile is merely the introduction.. after that, there are compromises for both of you.. best of luck - -

Possible to make it happen ... maybe.

You have to think hard if it comes to the long future relationship, and I'm talking about getting married .. have a family, grow old together.
There are a lot of differences .. food, cultures, traditions. Especially if she comes from a very traditional conservative family.

Do some research about her .. this, I mean, her attitude, her thoughts, her family, before persuing.

If she's young and her parents are strict, you might have a problem... you need to score points lots of 'em with the parents. If their residing in the States, your chances are 7 out of 10 if the parents are strict and a 50/50 if it's her own decision.

sure this is possible. why not? Many Thai women will prefer a foreigner (of course, there are also enough who would never ever go out with a foreigner, but id say its the minority). most dont care if you are a foreigner or not. Of course there are many who think of foreigners as a walking atm machine... true or not true.

But as survivor said: It helps if you have lived here for some time and know a bit more about thai women. It can help a lot in minimizing later regrets or disappointments.

yer why not? but it seems u guys always get bar girls like everywhere i go i see westerner guys with thai girls who are not good looking (im trying not to say they are ugly) have dark skin and always dress the way too sexy,why is that? cuz they are uneducated and are from poor family. as they are uneducated so they think they cant get a good job so they work in bar and sleep with guys for money! cuz thats the way they can get money easily and u guys can get them easy too. but there arent only bar girls here in thailand. im sure if ur really looking for one u can get a good girl,well educated and have a good heart not only want ur money!

ALL Thai girls are interested in a Westerner (who has money). But their "approach" and "goals" are the same whether they come from a bar or not.
