Yes.

And sometimes, even when the Good do something, like shooting dead the Bad, and then cutting down the rope that would hang the Ugly up a tree, evil still triumph, because films like "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" which is full of violence, makes a box office hit.

the answer is self evident.

at least, a handful of good men (meaning concerned people like us, at least) do something to get the message across. but i trust there's the silent majority who are there...waiting for the right moment.

Saw that in the news last night. The military officials responsible for the attempted coup last 2005 are facing additional charges. One of the soldiers carried a placard saying that statement.

My father once said "No matter how long the night is, morning will always come." Good men will always do something. There are just times when they can't do them yet.

When good men do nothing, they are no longer good. Many have the mistaken notion that good is merely the absence of doing that which is wrong. Not so! One is good not merely because he does no evil, but because he is actively working for what is good.

depends on the type of evil one is faced with. Not all types of evil can be fought with action. Prayer should be a constant in the fight against evil.

cause harm but not triumph. evil will ultimately be defeated. being placed in the open, in the light and challenged by the truth is one of the best way of defeating evil because evil works best in hiding, in darkness and in deceit. the truth shall set you free is never the motto of the evil because the evil fears the truth and the light and resorts to all schemes to avoid the light.

being good men is basically a matter of public opinion and reputation but until put to the test, no one can say he/she is a good person. people easily succumb to peronal or group loyalty, job security, convenience and petty monetary gains when faced with a hard choice between doing good and telling the truth and sacrificing their personal comforts.
