I wouldn't think so... because if ever I win a huge amount of money playing the lottery, the only 2 other people who would know about it are my mom and dad... that's it!!!
I believe that having lots of money ain't gonna change me that much... what WILL impact my personality, I think, is knowing that other people are aware of the money I have. |

I would not really know how to answer this because I have not yet won anything substantial in my life. But my take on this is that, based on hearsay and what I have read, a lotto winner instantly finds out that there are plenty of long lost relatives that have suddenly come out of the woodwork. |

NO. Not a better person.
If the person is already good, he will just have more to spare to help those he helps. That doesn't make him any better than when he was giving, but giving modest amounts to help.
If the person was not a good person before winning, the money will not make him a good person either. Even if he dispenses with some of the money, that doesn't mean he has become good. Maybe, he only wants to create an image of being good.
Being good is never dependent on how much money you have. |

nope!!!! remember money is the root of all evil.winning lotto does not make a person better, but most who'd won big in lotto.wasted all their winnings back to gamblings.does not want to share it to others like a charity organisation. |

It depends on what he person does with the money. For some, it'll make them better people. For others, it won't make them better. |

how about if you are the one who won the jackpot, would it make you a better person? |

There's a saying - "you dress a goat in Versace, its still a goat."
But on the less extreme case - if you mean "better" in terms of lifestyle and way of life - I'd say the person would be more free to do as they would want because they can now afford it. But it really depends on how the money is used and what's the mentality of the person who won. |

What a question! Let's just say the winner will be better-equipped to deal with financial matters now. Of course, it depends on how much winnings he made. Will he be a better person? Nobody knows, for sure. No, I would not make a guess. If he gives half to charity, is he a better person? I dare not conclude thus...what if he plans to run for mayor this coming election? |

Definitely.
S/he could eat better, and therefore, think better. S/he would have more quality time, and therefore, think better. S/he would have more to share with loved ones, and therefore, feel better.
As for me, I would have more to drink, and die earlier, which is better, than read about people winning the lottery while I rot in this dump. |

it will depend on the personality of the winner |

It would make the individual's life much much better. As to his being a person...it depends. Some rags to riches personalities changed a lot, for the better. It made them more human, sympathetic and thoughtful of others. Some, though, changed for the worst. They turned conceited with their new-found affluence and look down on those people who were of their own kind. They become big spenders as if there is no tomorrow. And, boastful of their wealth. |

No i dont think so, if anything, it could make them "snobbish" you know what i mean? butttt it depends on the individual, were they nice before they won the lotto e.c.t, theres a good chance, that they might stay the person they were before |

I know a family who won two years ago.. they were really poor before but after getting the money the father went on to gamble and have lots of other vices including women, the children( in highschool) stop schooling and did drugs and the wife gambles too btw... Now they are nearly broke again... I think it really depend on the person winning since I saw on tv the good thing it did on another person and how he change for the better. .. |

That will depend on his/her values in life. Winning the lotto can turn him/her to a better person or it can also drastically change his/her attitude towards life and everyone and everything around him/her for the worst. |
