some of the DVDs sold in M'sia r not dat bad quality. but if u r buying those made frm China, juz becareful as i've experienced that they compressed the movies, which mean they cut certain part of the drama/movies juz to utilise the full memory of the DVD & no, i dunt feel guilty buying them. |

Yes, I would and
No, I don't feel guilty.
You might find it interesting to know that some DVD and VCD pirate copies make it all the way to West Africa. The price has then increased to USD 3-6 per DVD depending on negotiation skills.
I know they're Malaysian due to the subtitles. |

Well, we are poor or not-well-paid Malaysians. If we buy original, poor Malaysians will become poorer and millionaire Hollywood stars will become richer. How? |

Totally not guilty at all. A good deal in fact.
When you go to cinema, you need to get 2 tickets, a set of popcorns and drinks (optional) and parking ticket. If you spent the whole day at the shopping mall before catching the movie, maybe you might have spend your lunch or dinner or perhaps even bought something that you like. That's gonna probably gonna cost like RM120 for 2 person..
Since the DVD is like 4 or 5 compared to 20, maybe chips with beer for free, no parking fee, no need to spent on expensive lunch or dinner. The total cost is probably around RM20 for 2 person only.
Well, of course there are some movies that you'll need to watch in the cinema and not from the DVD. |

I really don't think it's right to buy them. I will admit to having watched some at friends houses but I really would feel guilty buying them. And I would feel as if I weren't getting the real thing. |
