you want winter?
what about our roads? are we ready for that? our drivers? that would make a big mess... there will be lots of accidents... what about our mangoes, pineapples, and all...? what would happen to them? are you ready for famine? what about our cattle, pigs, chickens? will they survive for food? do you think the poor people will survive? especially those who are "squatters"...? what about the beaches? our rich coral reefs? what will happen to our rice fields? |

i think i'll not want 4 seasons in the philippines. why? there are too many countries with four seasons and i want this country to have only seasons so that we can feel the true sense of being a tropical country.
by being a tropical country, people from countries with four seasons go here to have vacation or eventually, live here. isn't that amazing?
people from countries w/ 4 seasons go out of their country and go here in the philippines. that makes me proud of my country. |

yes i would love to :)..and it's not a matter of not being proud of this country..but just desiring to experience the beauty of the changes in nature. |

The Philippines would be a completely different country with 4 seasons. Most of the wildlife (plants, trees, corals, fish etc, and those creatures which rely on them for food) couldn't survive in a temperate climate. No tropical fruits and flowers, no white sand (coral) beaches...
What a shame it would be to lose all that for the sake of " a few fashionable clothings". |

NO.
Good for some of us, but think of those people who don't have homes. They'll freeze to death during the winter. |

The crime rate will rise dramatically during winter time. |

I assume you are asking if when the Philippines was created by whoever it was created by would we have liked for them to have given the Philippines four seasons. I am not assuming you are asking if we could wake up tomorrow and will into existence a four season climate. I like living in the Philippines and do not wish to leave, but I do miss experiencing the four seasons because it breaks the monotony of every day being the same. All the snow I gladly can do without. |

no. there are lots of people in PI that cannot afford to buy nutritious foods, adequate clothes and good house. If winter comes, these people are most likely to die because of cold. Yun mga palaboy sa kalye, they will die kasi wala silang masisilungan pag malamig tsaka wala silang pambili ng gamot pag nagkasakit dahil sa winter |

I'd love to have four seasons here, simply to get a break from the sun and the scorching heat every now and then. But I suppose it would put the poor masses at a huge disadvantage if we'd suddenly have snow here. There are so many people suffering and dying from inadequate food supply and shelter, even a typhoon can cause so many fatalities. Hypothermia from snow would be yet another problem to add to the list.
Sorry for being a little pessimistÃc about it. It's just my opinion. |

amongst everything
we won't have the bahay kubo
where cool philippine native architecture is derived from
our cultural center would have a different design
should there be four seasons...... |

Nope. I'm comfortable with our climate. I've grown to love it. If you really want to experience winter visit another country. Even I wanna try out wearing a trench coat. Haha. |

The population of the Philippines would drop dramatically because of death toll caused by 2 inch thick snow... So I guess my answer is no... I like the Philippines as is... |

The weather here in Cebu is pretty close to what I would expect in paradice. |

Not really.
We are known as "The Region Beloved by the Sun" (region del sol querida), an eternal summer throughout these tropical isles.
This is sanctuary for those who need to escape from the winters of harsher climes. |

Yes, very much. Then we can enjoy the different seasons of the year and experience snow in our midst. We will have something to look forward to with each season change. Summer will be fun and enjoyed most knowing it will only stay for a short while. Winter and spring....the sweet scent of spring brings flowers blooming. Autumn will also be fine because we will have sleigh rides through the snow - a great way for a family bonding. Sigh!sigh!sigh! |
