hahaha did you hear about PETA telling one of those Ice-Cream chains that they shouldn't use cows milk, they should use human breast milk? Hilarious.
You've got a good point there. I mean, it's all the food chain, and we're at the top, pretty much. |

If our ancestors had not discovered that animal meat is edible and stick to vegetable diet then their brains would have shrunk. Lack of protein leads to mental retardation and reduced IQ, it's science. |

If God did not intend for us to commit adultery, he wouldn't have made it so deliciously exciting" -Do you agree? |

i think it's not a matter of taste but for agricultural economics....
see that we can't eat grass, but the goats, sheep, cows and other grazer can, and eating their flesh is not harmful per se. And most of the beefs we consumed are either from young male cattles or cull non milk producing cows. We don't just bury them if they die. It's wasteful. So, the best option is to eat it.
on the other hand, it's not that i am muslim, and the eating of pork is unclean as it transmit many diseases to humans and well cooked pork is found to be carcinogenic. An american anthropologist stated that the raising of pork is wasteful as they consumed also the very food humans needed, and then the excess food just turn into fatty tissues which is harmful to humans. Yes, it is better to be vegetarians, but what do we do with the meat? If PETA would act like the NAZI, then all we should consume are the air and sunlight around us. |

I'm sure dogs and cats are mighty tasty and plenitful too, so why don't we all start partaking in that bounty as well, eh? What's the difference between a cow and fido in that context?
Anyways, I don't think anyone has a right to tell someone else to eat or not eat meat. At the same time however it is somewhat presumptious for a meat eater to categorically state that we SHOULD eat meat collectively--because unless you've hunted, killed, dressed your own prey (without the assistance of your local butcher to save you from all that nastiness) and enjoyed that process--you don't really understand the true unfiltered truth about what happens before that medium rare delicately seasoned slab of steak ends up on your plate. |

Human being are omnivorous and we are meant eat to eat both meat and plants. That is how we are. It is just that too much red meat is not too good for you just like too much sugar is not too good for you.
Pork was forbidden by earler Middle Eastern religions because it is a very dirty animal that wallows in its own feces and also, fatty pork meat is very heavy on the stomach in those climates.
As far as your quotation goes, well, it is a bit faulty- human meat is also very delicious from what I have heard, it does not mean we should all be cannibals.

Yes, I agree wholeheartedly. I can't have a week without the succulent foods cooked - meaning, "adobo", "nilat-ang baboy/baka (nilaga), "menudo" etc.
Give me meat anytime; it's something to die for. Oh-oh, yes, I think it is something anyone could die from what with all the cholesterol and fats. Hmmm... |

we needed to eat meat like cows and pigs. even if some people don't eat they are still distined to die so i dont see any reason to think negatively about it. GOD GIVES US FREEDOM TO CHOOSE WHAT WE EAT and what we dont eat. |

Yep. I mean meat is our primary source of protein, and therefore is an important part of our diet. Sure there are other alternatives like eggs, but they aren't as tasty. XD |
