Love doesn't mean never having to say you're sorry. In any relationship there will be times when we will intentionally or unintentionally hurt our nearest ones. And at such times nothing works better than a sincere apology.
The key word here is 'sincere'. But sadly, this term has been abused so frequently that the regret has become submerged below sheer inanity. And the inevitable excuse that leaps to our lips with a 'sorry' has been reduced it to a meaningless mumble. It is high time we give 'sorry' back the dignity it deserves. |

Saw the film. Ali Mcgraw and some guy. Book was Segal's.
About the question: Everyone says not true. But I don't know. Maybe, if it was a perfect love, and with perfect understanding between two partners .... but is there such a thing?
I can only think of one situation where it may apply. When both have telepathic abilities, and don't need to speak their thoughts to each other. Ergo, no need to say "I'm sorry." |

if the relationship is deep and strong, some words are left unspoken - including having to say "i'm sorry".....so yes, it is true! love is not a litany of perfunctory apologies. love is meant not to hurt so "sorry" is not required...it is understood! |

Not true. If we love someone, we have to acknowledge your failures as well as realize our mistake and confess to our love ones otherwise we are committing dishonesty. |

Only in a lame movie .... It takes a better person to say I'm sorry than to use a lame line from a lame movie of the 70's .... |

that would nice indeed if it's true but i think for some unexplained reason we have a tendency to hurt the one we love and we end up saying "i'm sorry" all the time. maybe part of the love drama. i really don't know, annabelle |
