it just means that you are who you hang out with. like the kind of people you surround yourself with can change/make what your like. people tend to flock to people similar to them, and then pick up on/ give off habits like their friends. i guess its science or something? |

This is an old saying and I think it means that people are viewed to be what they are based on the kind of relationship they have with other people--friends, family or neighbors.
