A worse murder then snowtown?

I read the wikipedia articles, and the links from wikipedia, about the snowtown murders, and i have just never heard of such unremorseful brutality before.

I don't believe that there would be anything worse, would there?

Something just as bad happened in 1996 in Tasmania. Martin Bryant went on a killing spree and shot heaps of people. I remember the photo on the front cover of the paper. He was a surfie type person and his eyes were really freaky. I am pretty sure it was Port Arthur?!? But it was so horrific I have tried to put it out of my mind. One elderly man watched his wife die after he (the killer) shot her in the face blowing her false teeth across the floor. He killed men, women and children. Then just left. He was, however caught, but deemed mentally unstable.
Peace be with both the survivours and the victims and all the ones who were left behind.

If you are talking about serial killers in Australia then i think snow town would be one of the worst cases probably along side Ivan Milat and the backpacker murders in which terrible cruelty was committed.

Firstly I would agree with the Terminator, Port Arthur was and still is beyond comprehension. There is The Granny Killer (can't think of his name off the top of my head). What about Chopper Reed? The motives behind his 'reign' are certaintly worth debating but it's beyond question that he killed/maimed his fair share of individuals. All murder is horrendous, some more than others absolutely but in all honesty I would probably think that someone like Spencer Von Einmen (excuse my spelling there) would have to rank alongside if not above those of Snowtown.

But Why??

Snowtown was the 'bodies in barrels' serial killers, right?

The Anita Cobby and Samantha Knight murders stick out in my mind too, but these were not 'serial' killers.

Paul B. Kidd is the best Aussie true crime writer I have encountered. I highly recommend his books, especially the 'never to be released' series. He specialises in covering Australian crimes from history and today.

Sparky5115 gave a good lead, Paul B. Kidd is a brilliant true crime writer, basing his books on Australia's worst serial killers.
Try getting some of his books such as the "Never to be Released" series, I think there is 4 books in the series.
There are so many more brutal murders in the book.

Me
There are a thousand more murders worse than that. ever heard of jonestown?

Elizabeth
All murder is wicked and reprehensible no matter where it happens.

If you are referring to individuals who murder.
Try looking up-

Jeffrey Lionel Dahmer (May 21, 1960 – November 28, 1994) was an American serial killer.

OR

Andrei Romanovich Chikatilo (October 16, 1936 – February 14, 1994) was a Ukrainian serial killer, nicknamed the Butcher of Rostov and 'The Red Ripper.'
