All Kiwi is from New Zealand?

Does the word Kiwi means New Zealandish in aboriginal New Zealandish language?

Because the kiwi fruit is from New Zealand.
The kiwi bird is from New Zealand.
The kiwi human is from New Zealand.
The kiwi anything is from New Zealand.

Just asking for definition of Kiwi in Aboriginal New Zealandish language. Also what is this language called, and is there another definition for someone who comes from New Zealand other than kiwi? like New Zelandish, or New Zealander or New Zealandic, or New Zealish, etc...?
Additional Details
Yes, Maori, that's the word I was searching for. thx :)

i didnt know kiwis were from New Zealand! wow

there is a kiwi human too?? o_O

anyways, i love kiwis...so, if you go to New Zealand, let me know, I'll come with you and we can hunt kiwis together lol

dee.
Kiwi fruit are not from NZ. I think they're from China.

And by "Aboriginal New Zealandish" I think you mean Maori. The word Maori is used to describe the native language and people of New Zealand. In general, people from NZ are called New Zealanders.

A person from New Zealand is called a New Zealander or a Kiwi. New Zealand is the only place in the world that Kiwi birds exist making the birds and people unique. Kiwi is also a Maori word.

its just aussie slang word that describes a person that comes from new zealand .
:)

Nigel from New Zealand
You've already been given a good answer about 'Kiwi'.
What New Zealanders call a Kiwifruit, in America is called a Kiwi, but that seems to me as strange as calling a grapefruit a grape!
There is an exception to the general naming pattern that you noted in your question: Kiwi shoe polish was made and named in Australia. (In reprisal people can talk about a "kangaroo court" that wasn't made in Australia.)

google word origins or etymology and put in kiwi ?

Hello
It's not aboriginal, it's just a term that's become synonymous with New Zealand

People who LOOOVE Sheep.

And I mean LOVE ;)

Velcro Glove, LOVE ;)

Ok, this was rather confusing, but I thought Kiwi was just a slang term used by and Australian to an New Zealand person, a bit like the Australians call the English "Pomes"

No, it's actually grown in many countries. If you google it, you'll see its very good for you with lots of vitamin A.
