The Bureau of Meteorology website can tell you anything you need to know http://www.bom.gov.au/lam/climate/levelthree/ausclim/ausclim.htm

Fact: right now, it's really fricking hot.

You'd need to be a bit more specific with your question. Australia is a vast continent with varying climates.

Cool temperate to tropical The odd desert. The odd rainforest.

It's a big place.

Our climate varies tremendously from one part of Australia to another. This is a country where we have rainforests, deserts, snowy mountains, sandy beaches, tropical islands, busy cities, everything. At the moment in Sydney it is a sunny 25 degrees today. Depends where you want to go and what you want to see.

♥liv
Depends where you mean. It can range from 10 degrees to 40 degrees in one state, let alone the differences throughout the whole nation. Today (Christmas Eve) it's 14 in Hobart and 38 in Alice Springs.

Kyle
Hot and dry at the northern parts (Darwin and Broome). Desert climate at the central parts of Australian (Alice Springs, Broken Hill). Temperate at very south eastern parts (Melbourne, Tasmania). Mediterranean at the south and western part (Perth, Adelaide). Subtropical and rainy climate at the east parts (Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sydney).
