Are Australian Schools generally friendly to British Kids that have emigrated there?

Additional Details
I'm asking for my young son who is 13. We are planning on emigrating but he is worried he may be bullied.

depends on alot of thing:

his englishness may be a problem if it happens, but it wont be the cause
get him involved in sport as soon as he gets over here (avoids the loner situation, and everyone loves a sportsman), not only that, but a good chance school mates will be in the same team.
most kids in the school dont mind the immigrant kids, offers a change.
but there is alway the rotten apples.

There are so many British people living out there already that it's really not that unusual to hear a British accent. In my experience Aussies make fun of everyone, including themselves; it's part of their humour so you can probably expect a few 'pommie' comments said in jest but as for true bullying - I doubt it.

Yes of course! Brits and Aussies are like brothers and sisters, the only thing different between the kids would be the accent, which kids are usually fascinated by!

He won't be bullied purely because he is English. He will be bullied if he rocks into a playground assuming his Englishness makes him somehow superior to his classmates.

My son was forced to change his accent within a very short while. Aussie kids were merciless with his "posh" accent. In every other way they were/are fine. There's a huge chip on everyone's shoulder about things British.

Australians are racist to just about everyone but the British.
They merely whinge about us.

there was an english boy in my class at school, he was average looking and a little bit quiet, but that accent, mmm mmmm, every girl thought he was the hottest guy on earth!

And I remember talking to an english mum once who mentioned that back home her daughter was really shy, but coming to a new country, new school, gave her the chance to reinvent herself, and she became a totally different, outgoing person.
