Of course we are !

nickname :)
I think you'll find friendly people anywhere in the world, and you can find rude, ignorant arseholes as well.

Sorgatani
Hmm.. I don't think friendliness can be based purely on where a person lives or where they were brought up.

I live in Australia, but online I've talked to friendly Americans, Indians, English, New Zealanders, many different nationalities.

I'm glad you like us Aussies, but there are sure to be people just as friendly as us somewhere else in the world.

I gotta tell you, I've never met a rude Aussie.

well - as a foreigner, i would say not necessarily the friendliest. i personally find the older generations friendlier, i am young by the way.

but aussies are definitely more accepting and probably the least racist bunch!

10 out of 10
there are nice and nasty people where ever you go.when i went there there were people i liked and people i didnt. this is the same where ever you go.

GOAUSSIE
Of course. I think they are pretty laid back, therefore they come across as friendly. And the more you get to know them, the more you like them.

ll_jenny_ll here
i have heard we are ... I can't really say either way .. as I have never had to encounter fellow aussies with me NOT being an aussie....

I can't imagine somebody NOT at least trying to be friendly.

I don't know about the friendliest or even how I would judge that, but in my two visits down under I was sure positively impressed by the people that I encountered. I wanna go back.

Yes Aussies are very friendly people on the surface but inside they are very cruel. You will not be able to realize them at the first meeting.
