Only for those that are involved with them, the airport incident in the state of New South Wales was a one off incident. police are cracking down on them and new laws are presently being put into place that would make it illegal for criminal bikies to associate with one another. |

Bikers aren't.....it's Bikie gangs that are the problem ! Bikers are anyone who rides a motorbike ...that includes me !
Most bikers are decent lawabiding citizens but the guys the police are after are the criminals who belong to notorious gangs & have no respect for anyone else , especially opposition gangs . |

No. They are not really a serious problem overall, but the media and Government are getting excited because they can't apply existing laws.

They are not a big problem, but they are involved in drugs, prostitution and stand over for some business types.
sometimes they fight between the gangs for business, then it flares up for a short time, it will die down again when this current problem is over.
It is similar to the mafia. |

no. let them do what they like. it's not like they're gonna go round massacreing innocents. it's a little feud. if it's get's out of hand, the government will deal with it.

No. Politicians are hoping they will have a big gang war and kill each other off. Media is having a bit of fun with them as there is not much else happening at the moment apart from the economy going down the gurgler (thanks, USA).
The federal parliament is not sitting and nobody is on strike. Not that anyone is on strike these days.
No planes have fallen out of the sky, nobody important has been killed in a car crash, one federal cabinet minister got sacked the other day but there was no news there, he was making a mess of things. So apart fronm the usual garbage, the Harley riders are about the only thing going on at the moment.

No - just must be a slow news period. Nothings really changed in their world of late... for some reason it's just being focussed on more than usual. Hell, I used to flat with a bikie and I think the media makes them out to be a lot more militia-like than reality. |

Biker gangs aren't really a problem at all- it was only after meeting my partner that I learned that there was such a thing! I honestly thought that every motorcycle club was a legitimate one, and only really knew about the Ulysses Club which is mainly a bunch of retired lawyers, doctors and police (can't see any of them doing naughty stuff!)
My other half is a member of a legitimate club, he's the one who says that a vacuum corners better- his preferred cruiser is a honda goldwing. |
