Are there Koala Bears & Kangaroos in Perth Australia?

Leeming golf coure also has them, they live on the golf course who provide extra food for them, but any kangaroo's that escape and jump around the streets are caught or disposed off, far to dangerous for us.

Also, I know some one who lives in outer suburbs in Armadale, and kangaroo's come at sundown and eat there roses, they have to have wire fences around the gardens.

Cohuna park that some one else mentioned is great, you can even have your photo taken with a koahla, and it has great views of perth.

Probably this is the same as the previous answer, but still.

Koalas are not native to WA. However, there are places that tourists can see them in captivity. The link below is one place you can see them, or the Perth Zoo I think also has some koalas.

Kangaroos live in the wild in WA, but like most types of wildlife, they prefer not to live in big cities like Perth. Both Cohunu and Perth Zoo have kangaroos.

To those who think there are no Kangaroos in Perth - head north on the Freeway. Just before the Ocean Reef Road turnoff there is some bushland to your left (towrd the ocean) and there are kangaroos in there! There are also kangaroos along the coast between Ocean Reef and Burns Beach. A guy I used to work with who lived in Clarkson had one hop into his backyard one day.

To see Koalas, head for yanchep, north of Perth as they have some there that can be seen easy. Also the Maze out towards Gingin. The zoo has a couple but hard to see.

Yes i live in Perth,and i call them Koala Bears, regardless of what any one else says, there are a few places to see them, i live in Mandurah an hour south of Perth. There are koala,s at a park called Marapana which is near Mandurah, There is also some at the Peel Zoo which is near Pinjarra,
As for kangaroos where ever there is bush there are a lot, we do have them jump out on to the road a lot between Mandurah and Pinjarra,and occaisionally on the road near Mandurah or Rockingham and up near Dawsville just out of Mandurah heading toward Bunbury

there are koalas and kangaroos in the Perth Zoo, Wildlife Parks and out in the country/ away from the city!

Good luck finding a koala bear, there is no such thing !

Kangaroos generally hang out in the city. They hire themselves out as taxis.

Only in zoos.
If you go out of Perth and to Kalbarri or somewhere like that you might see kangaroos on dirt roads - we saw quite a few driving through the state.

Koalas - I recommend Perth Zoo or Cohuna Wildlife Park. Kangaroos - Some have been spotted in the inner city park 'Kings Park' or just travel 35min out to the Swan/Mundaring or Kalamunda Shire and you'll spot a bloody load! Hope that helps.

they are not bears

you will find kangaroos in western australia but not koalas (you will see them in a zoo though)

they arnt called koala bears ... just koalas
they are only really in the zoo's
they do have a feral cousin tho .. the drop bear .. very dangerous ... always take precautions while walkin under trees
and yes to kangeroos too
they arnt in the city tho
ive seen them in the undeveloped areas ( near the highways )

Yes, Koalas in the zoo and Kangaroos maybe towards the outback. And to any ignorant American Aussies do not ride kangaroos!
