There are some tree kangaroos (no kidding - they really do climb trees) and some rare pygmy kangaroos in Papua and Papua New Guinea (both on the same landmass) which is very close to Australia, but there are no native kangaroos anywhere else.

Tree kangaroos can be found in Papua New Ginea. Otherwise, just Australia. I was fortunate enough to go on vacation to Australia and I saw them on a golf course and got really close to them. That was so cool!

There are wild Kangaroos/Wallabies in the following areas:
Island of Inchconnachan, Loch Lomond, Scotland (Wallabies)
Papua New Guinea (tree kangaroos)
Lambay Island, Ireland
New Zealand (introduced wallabies considered a pest there)
Oahu, Hawaii (colony escaped from a Zoo)
There was also a wild colony in the Peak District of England that escaped from a zoo around 1940. At its height that colony had about 50 kangaroos. The last one is believed to have died out in 1993. |

There are some in other countries, mainly ones close to Aus like PNG, however most of these would have been brought over there from here then continued to evolve ie the tree climbing one. So I guess it depends how long you would need to be there to be considered native. But basically, they're native to Australia and as such, Aus is the only country they'd naturally occur in without any human intervention.
Same with most marsupials. We're the only country with wombats, koalas, platypuses in addition to kangaroos/wallabies.
So sucks for you guys I guess. While hopping off to school in our own kangaroos pouch, you're stuck in a car. But what can you do about it. |

In Pupa New Guinea (spelling ?) There is are Tree kangaroos, that is the only place that you would find Plants and animals that are native to Australia. As PNG split from Australia a couple of thousand years argo. |

Marsupials I believe are native to Australia. You won't find a wombat, platypus, koala, kangaroo, etc. Anywhere else in the world naturally.
They may have been brought in and of course most zoo's would have some. |
