I have lived in Toowoomba, the "garden city" of Queensland, in Sydney on the northern beaches, in many other parts of New South Wales and also in Tasmania. And of course, I have holidayed on the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast of Queensland. I now live in New Zealand. Australia is "God's Own country" or "Godzone" - whichever way you want to spell it. The people are fantastic, but the men are generally very chauvanistic. I wouldn't recommend marrying one. Of course there must be exceptions to this, but I never met them.

Im from 160 kms east of Melbourne lived in Melbourne or around it all my life so I could be a bit biased even though I have been to Sydney Brisbane Adelaide and Canberra

Adelaide is like a Country town on steroids and so is Canberra Brisbane is a bit cramped to many one way streets and I hate Sydney with a passion

Melbourne is very easy to get around wide streets for a capital city but watch out for the hook turn when driving through it brief explanation when making a right hand turn on most streets with a tram running down them you have to pull in to the intersection on the left hand side wait for the light to go green on the street you plan to enter and then complete the turn only place in Australia I know of that you have to do it and its only in Melbourne its self not in the suburbs

I live in Australia. Both my parents were born in Europe but I was born here, so I'm basically 1/2 Euro, half Aussie.

Its a very multicultural society, go way back and you'll find pretty much everyone (except the aborigines) migrated here.

I live in Perth, which is the most isolated city in the world, but it really doesnt seem that way to me. We have some of the best music coming out of our town! Our beaches are beautiful, the people are laid back, there is a great cross-section of cultures and it gets SO HOT in summer! I still complain about it even though I've lived here all of my 22 years. On Monday it hit 39 degrees (102 farenheit) and its not even summer yet!

I have been and wish I could live there. For some real fun, though, take the Sydney Harbour Bridge walk. What a blast! Also, if you like LONG walks, take a guided bush tour. It is a very interesting way to explore Australia.

I have been to Sydney and Cairns. Both lovely places and well worth a visit. I wish I had spent longer in Cairns more laid back than Sydney.

I am from Australia and i think it is the best country in the world we don't have any really serious natural disasters (eg; hurricanes, major earthquakes or title waves) we do have the odd flood or bush fire but Australia has a spot for everyone, if you like it hot, or cold, water or desert, rainforest or just big open space... what more can i say it is Paradise

I lived there for a couple years in several parts of the country.

Overall the one thing that stood out was that the people were very friendly and I like their humorous and care-free attitdude: "No worries" is a very common phrase that I think they live by.

Lots of coastal living which pretty fun. The center is very dead and dry which is quite the sight to see. A drive to Alice Springs is quite remarkable... so much 'nothing' for miles.

I've thought about moving back.

i live here tooo and would recomment if in perth go to rotto and down south (margies, eagle bay) and do NOT try any of the 'tourist stuff' because it is all crap bcoz perth does not actually have any so they just make stuff up

in vic go on the puffing billy! and go to crown casino obviosly

sydney-bondi, climb the bridge

go EVERYWHERE in brisbane QLD cos its all good and diferent

and cant be bothered saying anywhere else but if you come inb winter go to exmouth in WA and swim with the whale sharks!!
