Are you sick of the current Brisbane/Gold Coast weather? |
It seems like there is severe thunderstorms and heavy rain every few days. It is also very humid and muggy. Is it starting to get on your nerves? |

Even if people are "sick of it" - what are you going to do about it? (Not being sarcastic or nasty but logical)
We all can whinge about it but we can not change the weather - so, just learn to live with it.
I mean... do you say "Anyone sick of the sun rising in the east? I wish it rises in the west?" Of course not.
Cheers from New South Wales |

I LOVE this weather. Brisbane went through a stage of being too dry, But now its back to the way it used to be! Rain and thunderstorms, thats what summer is supossed to be like! |

Its normal weather for this time of year its Summer.
The best time to come to SE Queensland is at spring and early autumn where its usual clear and no humidity. |

No, it's not getting on my nerves - I'm really happy that our climate looks like it's getting back to normal.
Brisbane is in the sub tropics and this is exactly the type of weather we should be having at this time of the year. South east Queensland has been in drought for the last 10 or 15 years and many people have forgotten what it should be like.
Another problem is that over the last 15 years or more, houses have stupidly been built to designs far more suited to southern cities with small or no overhanging eaves or verandahs and they're totally wrong for our normal climate. At my place, we can leave the doors and windows open in all but the most severe storms and we have great air movement through the house even on apparently still days plus of course we have ceiling fans in every room. All of those things make summer far more bearable (and a couple of air conditioned rooms and a/c in the car is also a big help). Summer is a small price to pay for our fantastic winters but you need to live in the right type of house to appreciate it. |

Yes I'm sick of it. I find it really hard to cope in this weather. At least less humid is bearable. |

Ipswich area here - yes as much as we need rain - at the moment its been enough. The ground can't dry out fast enough before the next storm hits. Predicting rain & storms over the weekend. Have even had to cancel a picnic @ Mt Tambourine - will be too soggy. |

Not really. I have no air conditioning so I love the cool storms bring. Better than being in drought. Yes, I've lived in Brissy all my life and this is definitely a return to old weather patterns. When I was kid, the road I lived on (still live there) would be flooded with water after a storm (up onto footpath) as it was in the bottom of two hills. This hasn't happened in 10+ years. |
