I work for a phone company , and I use this number all the time to make sure our customers can make international calls.
Here in the States we dial 011 to access an international trunk (or line) , then we dial 61 (Australia) , then the rest of the number...I have no idea how the Aussies divide up the rest of the number. |

I guess you are talking about for the phone not post codes. As for postcodes each suburb has their own so there are thousands of them but for phoning Australia from another country you dial 001161 then the area code which for Queensland is 7 then the phone number, but if you are dialling a mobile phone you do not dial an area code just 001161 then the number but not the first zero of the mobile number. |
