As a citizen of the United Kingdom, which country/countries do you feel is/ are our best friend(s)?

1. The USA

2. The other EU countries

3. The Commonwealth (Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, etc.)

The Commonwealth, definitely. The USA isn't a real friend to the UK, they're just using and bullying them. The EU countries think the UK is trash because they see themselves as more progressive (and they have a point).

In the Commonwealth there is still a lot of love for "Mother England", especially in New Zealand. In fact, while New Zealand wants to become a republic and be independent, that's doesn't mean it has a lot of anti-English sentiment. There is very little, many European New Zealanders have relatives in the UK, or were settler from the UK if you go back a couple of generations.

none.as we colonised these countries years ago, they're all having a go at raping our country or sending as many pikeys as possible

?
The UK doesn't need friends. It needs political allies. Better to choose the most powerful and influential than rely on Crown loyalties. They aren't worth a thing except quaint memories of days gone by.

The USA is not really interested in the UK, only when they want someone to help them out with a war, or take some of the flak from the United Nations.
The EU countries are critical of our public systems (and quite rightly) that are not funded enough because we pay less taxes them them.
Canada is split because they have a large number of French speakers.
Many Australians are anti-British, because many of them have ancestors that the UK sent there a long time ago for misbehaving, (thinks...we could do with sending a few more).
South Africa has its own problems and their president thinks Mugabe is a great guy, (how foolish of him).
New Zealand is the only country out of your list that would seem to be friendly. At least I hope they are friendly, as I will be making my first trip there this winter!

Definitely number 3. The US only care about themselves, that's obviousl...others would include Europe, of course, and Europeans are very arrogant, in particlar the French....as for Germans!
I think the UK and Australia have a lot in common, we understand each other, we come from basically the same ancestors and heritage, we have a great rapport with each other.

Well I live in Canada and I can tell you there is a lot of controversy over here towards how people feel about your country. I personally do not like having your queen on some of our coins but some people don't mind.

None

USA - I think with the war and 'relationship' between bush and blair, has made a lot of british/american people wary of each other.

EU countries - in a yahoo news report labeled Britain as rubbish i believe that was the word used.

The commonwealth - due to the wars and everything going on, they probably don't want much to do with us.

Facile Princeps
Portugal, it is our oldest ally
