Super Midget VIII

Aussies, how many of you will REALLY eat lamb chops this Monday? What if you have cholesterol problem?

If I have high cholesterol, would NOT eating lamb chops this coming Monday means I'm not patriotic? Will I be shot at dawn the next day(or worse... publicly shamed on A Current Affair)?

{I posted the question in this section because I will likely get more aussies answering it than in P&S}

lol, what a bloody great question.

I won't be eating lamb chops this Aussie Day, in fact I don't eat lamb on any other day of the year either, hate the taste.

I will be having a BBQ though coz that has to be done on Australia Day.

In place of the lamb, I'll be doing another great tradition and throwing a few shrimp/prawns on the BBQ instead.

To all the Aussies that answer this......have a great one!

Cheers

I won't be- I hate the taste and there won't be any seafood on the barbie either as I'm allergic to it. What I will be doing is kangaroo steaks marinated in bush herbs they taste nicer and are healthier

aflumpire
no, i eat rump steak which came from a property which my firend owns!!!

i dont know what makes a lamb chop so aussie, a nice rump steak is nice too!!

capricorn dancer♥

I don't like Lamb at all, and my family all feel the same. We never eat lamb, so no we won't eat it on Australia Day.

We will have a few snags and steak and of course lamingtons and pavlova though, it's also my mums birthday.

The whole lamb thing is just a publicity thing to get more Aussies to eat lamb.

lamb chops and sausages are for a BBQ lunch

leg of lamb for dinner

you dont have to eat lamb it is not compulsory but I enjoy this and my cholesterol is excellent

tradition I am not so sure about that these days as times has changed

Liz R
haha nice question
lamb chops are not neccessary, if your not going to be eating snags, you may be asked to leave the country, you may be able to escape this if you cook a BBQ for everyone else!
