Australia by Boat?
I would like to go to Australia for a few weeks but I'm terrified of flying, and I'm not sure if I can deal with being on a plane for 24 hrs.
I have decided that maybe I should try to go by boat, I am not really worried about how much it will cost, I just need to know how to get to australia by boat.
Why dont you find a shipping company that has passenger/ cargo vessels these are really more intimate than just being a number on the liners you get to eat and drink with the crew and you will visit a few interesting ports along the way also some companies will still let you work your passage, you should put your requirements into a search engine and all the best.

You could try to take cruiseships from wherever you are to Australia, it would be a slow but quite enjoyable trip. Not really possible in a few weeks though.

I agree with Derek... An accident can happen every where in a bus in the car on your way to work and even in the train.

Suck it up. Stop being a wuss. Get on the plane ... it is worth the long flight & once on the plane you can just sleep the whole time.
Planes are safer than any other kind of transport.

It will take weeks - if you are not worried about the money - fly 1st class

i love flying theres nothing to worry about.there are more crashes by rail.and ships sinking in storms.than what there are planes falling out of the sky.

If you're that worried about the flight your doctor should be able to prescribe you some sedatives.
