Australia day long weekend, where did you go and how badly did you get sunburnt?

Here on the GoldCoast we had a water free day and was allowed to use water to wash the car etc. I put on the sunscreen and worked for two days on a water blaster but neglected the sunscreen on my neck and feet. Yes I got burnt which is unusual for me, I can normally take a lot of sun before I get burnt so it was a particularly burning day. Oh gosh I feel for you . the peeling should've started now . Hope your feeling better.

i'm from australia but wasn't in Oz for australia day :-( . Wish i was cuz it's fricken cold in Europe.

I spent the Australian long weekend at the beach at Warilla
and Lake Illawarra withthe woman i love,and it was the best time i have ever had,later we went home and then down to the beach for a swim and a surf,it was the greatest . You see i have only ever been sunburnt once,and there is no way it will happen to me again,as i wear a special sun block and it is called a surfshirt or rashie .I hope that you don't get skin cancer as that would be a death sentence,as it doesn't happen over night it takes months before you get any visible signs,after that the doctors usually say it's terminal,so please don't be a WALLY (HERO ),wear some other protection to avoid the complications later ,happy holidays

Just had a barbie at home also had a few Lamingtons to prove we were good Aussies. No sunburn though.

It was quite a hot day, the beach was packed, so I was called and worked on patrol at my surf club, my tan got darker. After I finished I had a pool party at my house as I invited a few mates to watch the fireworks when they left I went onto YA. Quite a few
people I know are still suffering and peeling like yourself. Well it wasn't a bad day.

i just went down to the beach, had good times with friends, and then at night, my friend Jason, had a party thing, and it was goooooood ( : yes, yes, i did get very sunburnt, :D which is a good thing..

I went to visit my friend in Chuwar (near Ipswich) - Queensland. It was hot but I never went in the sun. We jsut hang out.

i went to sydney in the winter there, so i didn't get burnt

But Why??

It was a perfect day, 32 degrees, I went fishing in my tinnie and enjoyed the water, saw a huge sting ray and hammer head shark.
Didnt get sunburnt, I had 30+ sunblock on, plus wide brimmed hat (with corks)!!!!
