No way. We have brains here. Our country was founded by England however we have our own style of doing things and are a very resourceful country.
We do not mimic America at all, thank goodness.

No...and I am an Australian with US citizenship and the countries are nothing at all the same.

Australians are much more open minded and as Australians we are much more aware of the problems and issues of other countires. Americans like to live in a box...if its not happening to them then it doesnt affect them.

i say bullshit i am a dual Canadian and Australian citizen and Australia is no ware like the states. i know i live near the Canadian/American boarder and often travel to the states for shopping and what not. Australia is a warm version of Canada. god save the queen.

Lol copy america? don't flatter yerself mate. The globalisation of mostly american companies has, however, taken its toll here. We mostly copied Great Britan, as did America. Thinking about it, i cant think of a single thing we may have copied from america.

The main reason in addition to all those listed below, is that in Australia we do not have guns, we have a far more liberal immigration policy - it's juts so embarrassing that our PM likes to suck up to the US president
