Definitely Australia!!! They have amazing beaches, lovely people, awesome accents, cool wildlife and great night life!

Everyone I know who has been there say it is their favourite holiday and it was a trip of a lifetime.

Lucky you!!!!!!!

Debbi (SOC)
I would go to Australia - you need about 3 months to see everything there.

Uhm me personally if it was a 2 week holiday I'd choose Austrailia, However, been asthough you're going to 3 months I'd go to America. Theres so much to see and do there, so many places to visit + the weathers bound to be at its highest during the summer.

Have a great time!

I would recommend Australia, only because there's much less chance of being shot here - everyone and their dog don't carry guns, like they do in the USA.

come to australia i have lived in the states and its great too but you will get more for your money in australia because of the dollar been so low agianst the US.plus australia is a safer country and we love the irish to be sure to be sure.even though its winter its the same temp in the south as your summer in Ireland and if you want some sun go to Queensland. In fact our winter is the best time for people from the UK as the heat in summer will make you melt.

You will identify more with Australia. Imagine all the things that you are used to at home with the bonus of sun, surf, beer, pretty tanned girls, parties, tropical adventures, beautiful rugged scenery and falling asleep to waves washing up gently on the shoreline.

seebob
Buy a round the world ticket and see both.
But spend more time in Australia, if you like beer, surf, sun and an easy going lifestyle

I long 2 go 2 Australia...so I suggest u go there & see hw it looks like & tell us all abt it. :)

I've done 4 OZ stop-overs on flight to NZ, and since it is the furthest away, it might be the one worth considering; you may never have 3 months vacation again.
Sydney and Darling Harbour + Cockle Bay are a must, of course, then you can do all the touristy things like the Blue Mountains, The Barrier Reef, etc. We also hopped over to Adelaide and Melbourne + Surfers Paradise.
Then, since you have 3 months, why not catch a plane to South Island NZ, spend some time exploring there, (if you like snowy mountains then our summer is a good time to visit there) then another one to Auckland. Go North as far as Waitangi, at least.
Then a few days stop-over in Fiji (go and swim in the waterfall) and hop on to San Francisco, before heading back across the Pond.
If you going in the other direction, Singapore is a great place for a stop-over. Dubai is pretty awesome. Thailand have mozzies which are man-eaters but Bangkok is a fascinating place to visit.
I can't stress the importance of breaking your journey with stop-overs - it helps alleviate the risk of deep vein thrombosis and gives you a chance to see places you may never have the opportunity to visit again.
A good Travel Agent, like "Travel Bag" will sort an itinerary to suit your budget.

Next summer would mean winter in Australia. So if you're looking at having some serious fun in the sun, you should look at going to America. If you're wanting to have a chilled-out holiday and don't mind the winter, then Australia is definitely the way to go!

Bella B
Come to Australia.

It's the furthest so you may not get the chance again.

Similar sense of humour and very chilled out.

Winter isn't too bad, quite cool down south but Brisbane and north are pleasant, Sydney and north ok and south canbe a bit chilly but a jumper will cover you in most situations...

AUSTRALIA!!!!!!!!!

It's just so unique and America is just... original.

No offence to people who love in America.

Australia is the place where you can just sit back and relax on the beach or go shopping, spend a few... uhh thousand dollars since the shoopping rocks, (lol) go culture seeking, dive in snorkelling in our BEAUTIFUL reefs maybe and seriously, the list goes on.

America for culture (big pancakes for breakfast lol!), sightseeing and you can tour across there and find loads of landmarks. Australia for a laid back hot holiday and meet friendly locals. I would say America

x Jessy
That's hard.
Australia has summer from December to February or March.
And America whenever it is. So I'd say America since you're Irish and they have summer the same time as Ireland. :)
